Trail Rides

Trail Rides
Saddle up and head out on our guided trail rides through the Sun Peaks back country, taking in breathtaking mountain views, pristine lakes, and an array of fauna and flora. Tours depart daily. Advance reservations are required for all tours. No horse back riding experience is needed, and the minimum age to participate is 10 years. Village Loop
This relatively easy ride circles around the outer edges of the village.

Evening Ride
Spend your evening horseback riding. Travel past the village, up the Rambler trail to the Sundance trail, and then wind your way back down to the barn in the evening twilight. This ride runs through the months of July and August.

Top of the World
This is a challenging trail ride, but once reaching the Top of the World, and taking in the views from 6824’/2080m the ride is definitely worth it. Riders will get a chance take a break in the West Bowl to have a light snack, and stretch their legs.

Louis Creek Ride
Relax as you ride under the shade of trees on the old logging trail, and listen to the peaceful sounds of the Upper Louis Creek running alongside you. Everyone including the horses will get a chance to take a break, and enjoy a light snack in the grassy meadows.

Overnight Ride
This is a great outdoor camping experience for the whole family. Guests start the trail ride off by working their way up Tod Mountain to the water reservoir where lunch will be served. Following lunch the trail ride heads to McGillivray Lake to set up camp for the evening, and just in time for dinner. The evening will be spent around the camp fire enjoying the stars before retiring for the night. After a relaxing morning and breakfast, the horses will be tacked up once more to head back to the barn. All meals are provided for this tour, but guests must supply their own camping gear.

McGillivray Lake Ride
Enjoy a relaxing trail ride through the valley to McGillivray Lake. Once at the lake we’ll stop for a break, and to enjoy lunch.
