Snowshoe Tours
Join our professional guide for a fun and informative two hour afternoon snowshoe tour through the quiet forests surrounding Sun Peaks Resort. Your excursion begins with an introductory lesson followed by a history of snowshoeing, snowshoe technology, and local lore. During the tour you will experience the natural habitat of local birds and animals. Stops will be made at the bird feeding stations and snow cave. Guests will also have a chance to relax at our trapper’s camp, and enjoy a hot apple cider and a trail treat. This is a great introduction to our designated snowshoe trail system, and a great way to meet other visitors to Sun Peaks.

Guests can also take part in the Snowshoe Marshmallow Roast. This exciting evening event starts off on an easy one kilometer snowshoe tour. Guests are guided through the forest on marked snow covered trails, and then sit around a roaring fire to enjoy some hot chocolate, topped off with roasted marshmallows at our trapper’s camp. The return journey offers amazing views overlooking the village, and allows participants to make fresh tracks of their own. This is an experience that everyone can enjoy. Families with children eight years, and older and adults young at heart will enjoy this evening out under the stars.
