About the Bluebird Day Fund

The Bluebird Day Fund was established on November 8, 2006, in memory of Bryn Taylor, who died in an automobile accident near Ashcroft, BC on November 1, 2006.

Bryn moved to Sun Peaks several years prior to pursue his passion for snowboarding and was an active and well-known member of the Sun Peaks community.

Purpose of the Bluebird Day Fund
The purpose of the Bluebird Day Fund is twofold: The Bluebird Day Fund provides local riders and park skiers with support and/or resources to assist growth and development in their respective sports. Such support may include, but not be limited to: sponsorship of training camps, event registration and registration with their respective provincial/national associations. Assistance is intended for riders and skiers who exhibit an interest in and commitment to pursuit of their sport. All decisions will remain with the Bluebird Day Fund Steering Committee.

The Bluebird Day Fund also assists in the development and enhancement of the terrain park at Sun Peaks Resort through the annual donation, as resources permit, of a feature (or features) that has been identified and recommended by the Steering Committee and approved by the Sun Peaks Resort Corporation.
