Group RRSP Programs
Full-time year round employees are eligible to participate in the Group RRSP Savings Program after three month’s probation.

Employees will be able to participate in the Company Matched RRSP Savings Program after their first anniversary date. The employee must work for the company for five years in order to be eligible to keep the company matched portion of the RRSP.

Sun Peaks Resort Corporation will match 50% of employee RRSP contributions up to a maximum of $2,000/year. For example if an eligible employee contributes $4,000/year to their group RRSP they would be eligible to receive the maximum company matched portion of $2,000.

Comprehensive Training
Sun Peaks Resort puts all employees through comprehensive training that is specific to their department and position. Each employee will experience the recognized Super Host course through Tourism British Columbia, as well as a Sun Peaks Resort Orientation. Training is also continued within each department throughout the course of employment.

Employee Recognition Programs
Sun Peaks Resort takes pride in the efforts of our employees. Season, Nordic, Golf, and Bike Park Passes
All Sun Peaks Resort Corporation employees will receive a staff season pass. Family season passes are a benefit for full time year round employees who have completed their probation period, and full time seasonal employees who have completed two seasons of employment. Summer staff receive a free golf seasons pass, free mountain bike pass, and a free hiking pass.

Food Service
A 25% discount is offered to all staff and volunteers at Bento’s Day Lodge and the Sunburst Lodge during the winter season. You are eligible for a 25% discount at Café Soleil and a 10% discount at Masa’s year round. This discount does not apply on your days off. The restriction is that staff must be in uniform, and must present their staff pass to the cashier when purchasing their meal. In the winter only, Bento’s also offers daily staff meal specials. Staff must be working and in uniform and present their staff pass.

Retail & Rentals
Employees and volunteers are also entitled to a 20% discount on retail products and repairs year round. All staff purchases are subject to availability of the product. When renting equipment a 50% discount off standard alpine gear, snowboards, cross-country gear and golf gear will be applied.

Skating
Employees are able to skate for free with their Winter Staff Pass, and are entitled to 50% off skate, stick and puck rentals based on availability.

Staff Recognition Dinners
Throughout the year we host a variety of recognition events at Masa’s Bar & Grill, .

Sports Centre
Outdoor heated swimming pool, hot tub, change rooms, showers, small lobby area, and two tennis courts in summer. Employees receive 50% off admission.

Sports School
Staff and volunteers are entitled to a 50% discount on private ski or snowboard lessons. Staff can join a group lesson for free, provided there is space available. 

Promotion
SPRC strives to promote from within the company whenever possible. By tapping into the skills and talents of our current employees, we are able to create career opportunities for individuals at all levels of the organisation.

Reciprocal Ski/Snowboard Program
We work with other mountains in order to reciprocate discounts for skiing for our staff. The discounts are usually 25% to 50% off regular ticket prices. Please check with Guest Services for the most current list of participating mountains.
