From huddling under a horse blanket for the ride up the Burfield Chairlift on Tod Mountain, to the Sun Peaks Resort we all know and love today, the stories and memories from the past five decades will be centre stage this Saturday and we invite you to join the party with us!
Alpine lift tickets are 50% off and the day is jam packed with fun activities, musical performances by local Kamloops artist Paul Filek, and a lunchtime BBQ for all to enjoy. See below for details.
Schedule of Events for Saturday, December 3

11:30am - Time Capsule and Sun Peaks Resort Executive Contributions We're starting a new Sun Peaks tradition and launching a ten year time capsule! Open to the public, we want you to bring your favourite present-day photo, memento, or any other small item that represents Sun Peaks today and place it into the capsule. It will be available for contributions until the Grand Reunion Gala on January 27, 2012, at which time it will be officially locked for the next decade.
Members from our Executive Team will kick-off the celebrations and contribute an item to the time capsule.
12:30pm & 2:00pm - Live Music by Paul Filek Paul Filek will be on the main stage rocking the surrounding village for two sets; at 12:30pm as well as 2:00pm. Check out Paul's website.

The ladies will be showing off some of this winter's fresh ski gear as well as their semi-formal attire. A panel of judges will conduct a Q&A session and each candidate will present a brief speech. The last winner in '87, Natalie Sanesh, will be on the panel of judges and will pass on the crown to the next Miss Tod Mountain.
Stop by Guest Services to check out our 50th Anniversary Quilt, prepared by the Sun Peaks Quilters Guild.
The Sun Peaks Antiques will be joining the Sun Guides for the day to give our guests a unique mountain tour experience.
