Event Description

Ski to the McGillivray Lake log cabin under the light of a full moon and starry night sky. Guided by Nordic hosts, the group will enjoy a peaceful ski along the Nordic trail system with clear views of the full moon along the way. Upon arriving at the warm cabin you will be handed a hot cup of wassail (hot mulled cider) and treated to a special evening experience you will not soon forget.

The cabin décor and fragrance of cinnamon, chili spices and chocolate will immediately tempt your taste buds. Kick back, relax and enjoy a hearty bowl of hot chili, followed by a special fruit chocolate fondue. Your meal will be accompanied by acoustic guitar music provided by the very talented Leo Pouliot. Before departing for the easy glide back to the village, the group will tour down to McGillivray Lake for some interpretive star gazing.

Meet your tour guides at 5:20pm at the Sun Peaks Nordic Centre in the west end of Parking Lot #5. The tour will return to the Nordic Centre by 9:00pm.

Nordic skiers must be of intermediate ability and able to ski the 10km return trip to the cabin. Children under 17 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
