Throughout the weekend the village will be alive with a multitude of activities! On Saturday take part in Jo’s Road Race, Mountain of Beer & Chili Cook-Off, rock climbing wall, performances from clowns, watch the 5 Star Dog Agility Demonstrations, listen to live music by The Blues Jumpers and Steelwheels (Rolling Stones cover band), on Sunday enjoy the Farmers' Market, rock climbing wall, performances from clowns, bouncy castle, listen to live music by The Blues Jumpers and more.

More than a Road Race! A fun and festive 5K or 10K run through beautiful Sun Peaks Resort. Runners will enjoy gorgeous views of mountain scenery on the paved route that includes a golf course, a mountain stream, a picturesque covered bridge, tree-lined paths and the quaint charm of this year round destination resort. There will be live music playing Sat night and buskers during the day.

Back by popular demand, the Mountain of Beer Festival and Chili Cook Off returns! Tour the village restaurants sampling signature beers from a wide variety of breweries, and tasting house made chili from local chefs. Participants will be asked to cast their vote for their favourite beer and chili to determine who will be awarded the 2012 People's Choice Award.

From our big sister city of Kamloops, home to our school district's healthy schools initiative comes Westmount and Arthur Hatton Elementary school students participating in; See it, try it, do it, where students see new things, try it and if they're having fun, they do it. Directed by 25 year square dance calling veteran Jim Dorman of Kamloops; Jim has been a Square & Line Dance teacher in Sun Peaks at Masa's Bar and Grill the past 4 years.  Now showing off their new found talents Arthur Hatton and Westmount Elementary present the Flaming Alien Dancers.
