The Adaptive Snow Sports Program (ASSP) Festival is planned for Sunday, March 10th , at the end of our 8 week lesson set. The day will start at 1:00 p.m and consists of a Guesstimation Slalom Race which is a timed race for ASSP students that takes place at the bottom of the Suncatcher run in front of the Village Day Lodge. Students will first do a trial run to guess their race time and then race 2 more times to try and get close to their guessed time. No one wins or loses. Students guess their time and try to get close to the estimated time with awards for place getters to follow at the Bentos dinner.
Following the Guesstimation race will be outdoor games and a chance for interested people to 'come and try' the adaptive equipment. Information will be available for potential Instructors and other volunteer opportunities on and off the snow.
We have planned a pasta buffet dinner at Bentos for 5:00 p.m. where wind up speeches, awards and recognitions will take place. Tickets are available for sale at a cost of $10 per person. This is open to all.
Tickets are available for pick up at the ASSP table located in the Village Day Lodge on the weekends, or contact ASSP by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or phone them on 250-572-0616
