Olympic Champion Nancy Greene set to inspire at WOW Sun PeaksMay 30, 2013: Three-day early bird passes now on sale at wowsunpeaks.com for only $189
First 50 pass holders also receive a free Roxy Outdoor Fitness Yoga Mat
Sun Peaks, BC - Canada’s Female Athlete of the 20th Century is leading the charge as women from around Western Canada gather in Sun Peaks this September for a lifestyle weekend designed to empower and inspire. Olympian Nancy Greene is the keynote speaker at the Women Only Weekend (WOW) that runs Sept. 13-15, 2013 in the world-class Sun Peaks Resort alpine village.
A far cry from a sit-down conference, WOW Sun Peaks is an active retreat for women. Zumba in the heart of the alpine village, flow through a vinyasa series in an alpine lodge, or cycle to a mountain lake for brunch. Just as women seek balance in their daily lives, participants will be creating a WOW experience that meets their needs by choosing from active classes, inspiring speakers, nutrition sessions and more.
“WOW is about transformation,” explains event organizer Cathy Earle, owner of Peaks Media and SPIN Newsmagazine. “Some women need a retreat from their day-to-day grind, while others are looking to jump start a healthy lifestyle. WOW can be whatever it needs to be for that person.”
All women can find some inspiration and motivation from Greene during her lunch seminar. A woman who has mastered the art of balance, Nancy is a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a Canadian Senator.
“As you get older you realize the importance of having girlfriends — they are there for you in good times and through struggles,” says Greene. “Friendships develop over the years through sharing special experiences and I know the Women Only Weekend at Sun Peaks will be one of those. It’s a great opportunity to expand your horizons and make new friends.”
A three day pass gives participants access to the Friday night Welcome Reception and Wine Tasting, a choice of either the Lunch Seminar with WOW’s keynote speaker Nancy Greene or a Roxy Boot Camp with Roxy Ambassador and personal trainer Phillipa Thiessen, along with a Saturday evening Wine Tasting and Hors d’oeuvres Party. In addition, pass holders also choose three fitness classes or seminars.
