Sun Peaks, BC - Renowned Kelowna blues artist Pappa Dawg will join Colin James in sending off summer with thousands of Sun Peaks’ guests in the final performances of the 2013 Summer Concert Series on August 31. Pappa Dawg’s opening act will begin at 3:45 p.m. followed by headliner Colin James at 5:00 p.m. Other musical performances will take place on various village stages throughout the entire weekend.
From low-down Chicago blues to up-town rock' n' roll, including classic covers and originals, Pappa Dawg’s sounds will complement James’ eclectic style, which runs through a collection of genres ranging from rock to pop and blues to gospel. The combination is ideal to deliver a memorable show to the variety of guests staying at Sun Peaks’ alpine village. Market vendors will line the pedestrian village on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., creating a festival atmosphere and providing guests yet another activity to enjoy throughout the day.
General Access to the concert is free – no ticket required - and guests will view the performances in the natural alpine amphitheatre on Sunbeam ski run. For prime viewing closest to the stage, a limited number of Front Stage Access tickets are available for $50 each, or at a discounted rate when combined with an overnight stay booked through Tourism Sun Peaks’ Central Reservations. The ‘Best Value’ package includes two nights’ accommodation and a pair of Front Stage Access tickets starting from only $90 per person. Guests are reminded seating is not provided, and should bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the show comfortably. For more information and to book, go to or call 1-800-807-3257.
