Sun Peaks, BC – Kamloops residents and those in the surrounding area need only a toonie and a non-perishable food item to enjoy incredible early season ski/snowboard conditions at Sun Peaks Resort on Monday, December 5.
If you live in Kamloops, 100 Mile House, Merritt, Salmon Arm, Cache Creek, or anywhere within the Thompson Nicola Regional District boundary, you are eligible for Toonie Day on Monday.
Kamloops Toonie Day continues to be a great opportunity to give back to the local community with the collection of non-perishable items for the Kamloops Food Bank. Sun Peaks Resort is hoping to fill their 360 cubic foot events trailer with food to donate to the Food Bank for the holiday season.
Proceeds from the Toonie lift tickets will go to the Kamloops Food Bank and the Sun Peaks Health Association. Identification with proof of residency is required for your Toonie Day ticket.
The Toonie deals go beyond the chairlift on Monday. Cahilty Creek Bar & Grill is serving hot chocolate, cans of Cariboo Beer or potato skins for only $2, while supplies last. Or stop by Globe Café in the Kookaburra Lodge for a $2 glass of house red or white wine when you order a Tapas dish between 3pm and 7pm!
Sun Fun Tours, through Canada West Coachlines, is once again shuttling guests from Kamloops up to Sun Peaks on weekends this winter and will operate a bonus day on Toonie Day. Regular rates will apply ($25.00/round trip). Check out the website for all of the times and pick-up/drop-off locations!
