Sun Peaks Golf Course Delays Opening

May 12, 2008 – Sun Peaks, BC – Mother Nature isn’t ready to give up on such a successful winter season at Sun Peaks Resort and as a result, the Sun Peaks Golf Course will not be opening this weekend as originally planned.

Sun Peaks is a premier winter destination and with unseasonably cooler weather and snow falling well into spring, the golf course remains partially covered. “We are expecting much warmer (and normal) temperatures this long weekend which will be a welcome change and will greatly assist the melting process,” commented Anne Haight, Sales and Marketing Director. “For several weeks, our grounds crew has been working diligently preparing the course for play. The greens are looking fantastic. And, as expected, we want our track in top shape for opening and our guests’ enjoyment.”

Opening day for the Sun Peaks Golf Course has been tentatively re-scheduled for Saturday, May 24, 2008.
