My wife and I spent 6 weeks in 5 resorts around Canada between 30.12.2012 and 08.02.2013. Our last week was at Sun Peaks, Coast Sundance Lodge, and we definitely kept the best till last for our holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed the skiing, the Village, the people, the dining and yes, we'll be back.

Skied your hill on 18th of January with my grandson. Spectacular is the only way I can describe it. Lifts were great. Snow was excellent. Rented equipment from you. Boots fitted like gloves. Skiis performed like Nancy Green-Raines (well almost) so will be back next year for more than 1 day. The little things also make a difference. And this may be a small point but the hand-dryers in your washrooms are the best I've ever seen. Usually end up using paper towels after standing in front of those things for minutes on end. Excellent hill.

Excellent all around experience with the Golf package. Accomodations were great overlooking the 2nd green, weather cooperated 100% and course was playing in top form. Our foursome would return here in a heartbeat. Special koodo's to Barbara at the Pro Shop. Barbara was a lot of fun, got us organized and threw us out for another nine everyday we played there. Only a handful of courses offer that kind of hospitality and Barb made our golf needs relaxed and easygoing. She even threw in a dozen good used sympathy balls to replenish our donations to the Sun Peaks 'off fareway' trapping grounds.

I just wanted to let you know how amazing our experience was this past weekend. It started with you and just continued to exceed our expectations. Our instructor Adrian was phenomenal, the rentals crew were very patient and professional, the mountain itself... stellar! Then at the end of our day we ventured into the ski store and bought helmets from Pauline who wowed us with her patience and assistance. We extend our sincere gratitude for a spectacular experience! We returned on Sunday to practice our techniques and received this refreshing hospitality once again! Cheers to great staff in EVERY department!

I come up to Sun Peaks every year and the Bike Park is great! I like the variety of trails and there is always a bit of everything. Berms, steep, technical, fast, and flowy. The trails are great. The resort is top notch with a nice village feel and well kept appearance. I like the trail information and closures on a nice big digital screen instead of a little crowded chalk board at the top this year. Keep up the great work Sun Peaks see you next year!

I had the pleasure of bringing a school excursion to Sun Peaks all the way from Australia in January 2011. Absolutely everything about Sun Peaks was perfect for our group. The skiing was amazing and everybody who worked with us went out of their way to be helpful. I have since been very energetic in promoting the resort to my friends and colleagues. I cannot wait to return to enjoy some more great skiing and warm Canadian hospitality.

We found our entire Sun Peaks experience thoroughly enjoyable. From the friendly, "Good mornings, how is your day going?" to the concise information given by the Ski School Instructor regarding our children’s progress each afternoon. The range of experiences provided from Kamloops hockey games to snowshoeing, and the variety of places to eat and shop allowed us to occupy our three children for our entire two week stay. We loved it.

I went with Laurie for my first Ski Sisters experience. I have never had so much fun skiing. Although this wasn’t strictly a lesson, Laurie started off correcting some errors, and then we were off. Laurie is a great laugh and I did things I never would have had the confidence to do before- powder, bumps, glades, and black runs. I felt so confident at the end I went and did another black on my own. I would really recommend the Ski Sisters to all women looking for a different and fun experience. I’m looking forward to catching up with Laurie next time I’m in Sun Peaks.

You guys are great! We bought a condo in Settler's Crossing in the fall 2009. We've now experienced Sun Peaks for a complete year. We can't say enough about your summer and winter events. The weather wasn't your friend this summer, but you still had a ton of fun stuff to do. We love this place.

We spent five days skiing at Sun Peaks in February. The skiing was fantastic - wide, well groomed runs with hardly anyone on them (therefore no queues). Very pleasant and helpful lift staff. Even the weather was brilliant. We made friends with a number of people in the "sticky-bun" hut. The village is compact and has everything within easy reach. It is a long but very easy drive from Vancouver. We will definitely return. Well done to all concerned!

Just wanted to send a quick email to say a big well done to all of you at the Sun Peaks Resort. Myself and two friends came over from the UK in early March for a ten day holiday, and we absolutely loved it. We have skied throughout Europe, been twice to Banff and also skied at Jackson Hole in the USA. Your resort is so friendly and well run, we had perfect conditions, and great accommodation at Nancy's place. What I personally loved was the runs, they are so well groomed and scenic, and at no time was it busy to the extent of having to queue for lifts, so unlike Europe!

As your season comes to a end, I wanted to say once again well done. We all have very fond memories of the resort, and the friendly and welcoming team throughout the whole place. I check out the webcams daily and always wish I was there!

I have been in New Zealand, and have talked to many people who love Canada, and want to come see Sun Peaks, as they should!

I just wanted to share with you what a wonderful time my daughter had at your Kids Sport Camp this past week. She has not stopped talking about everything she did, where she went, who she met, and Kai her leader. There were a few activities she was nervous about, but he was able to get her to do it all. I could not believe my eyes when I saw her come riding by on the mountain bike. We have tried at home for the last two years to get her on a mountain bike, and wow it was great to see. Anyway she can hardly wait until next year. Thank you from both Miranda and her mom.

I just wanted to pass on a belated thank you for the excellent event you held. As a Golf Professional I understand how much effort and planning go into these events, and am appreciative of the quality and professionalism of the entire event.

Our ladies were most impressed by the courteous manner they were treated with by both the PGA of BC and Golf Shop Staff. They were also amazed by the attention to detail throughout the entire event from offering us bug spray for the mosquitoes, the tee gifts, and the banquet and prize presentation. The prawns on the 1st tee took up a good portion of the conversation on the drive home.

The views of the mountain were incredible and I will most definitely be back to golf and ski.

Again please pass on our thank you to the staff.

We are an English couple who have skied Europe, Canada, and the United States for 20 years. We value enormously the ski guiding service which Sun Peaks and other resorts offer. It is a major factor in helping us to decide which resorts we visit. Your ski guiding service is well organized, and the two hosts we enjoyed yesterday (Al Stuart) and today (Gordon Inskip) are excellent ambassadors for Sun Peaks.

On Wednesday, February 7, I went on the Cat Trax groomer ride, and was able to do something that I have wanted to my entire life. Christine the cat operator was very patient with my countless questions. It was a very rewarding tour, and I saw that Christine took great pride in what she does for a living.

Firstly I would like to thank you and all of the Sun Peaks Resort staff for the excellent skiing that I experienced last week. I live in Rothesay, New Brunswick and took the opportunity to visit both Sun Peaks and Whistler Blackcomb between January 20th and 24th with a close friend who has liver cancer (this may very well be the last time we ski together, so it should be "the trip of a life time"). In my opinion Sun Peaks far outshines Whistler Blackcomb in the quality of Snow, conditions of the trails and general friendliness of the staff. Having said all of the above the reason for my contacting you is as follows, On Wednesday the 24th I experienced a situation that I hope not have again ... I "crashed" on OSV and dislocated my shoulder. I was treated by one of your patrollers on the mountain and two EMT's along with a doctor at the First Aid location. What I would like is the names of these 4 persons so that I can personally write them to express my appreciation for all that they did. I feel that this is the least that I can do.

Again, thank you for the experience of skiing at Sun Peaks and I will be back, only this time I hope to bring my son who was quite annoyed that he was "left behind".

Again thank you for every thing.

I’ve been skiing Sun Peaks for literally my whole life. I have passes going back to the 1990/1991 season where I wasn’t even one year of age yet. It is amazing how so many people have visited Sun Peaks during the early years where there was only one lodge. This ski resort is an amazing place, and throughout the next decade it is only going to get bigger and better then ever.

Dear Mr. Alexander

I visited Sun Peaks for the first time this weekend. You have a great place.

Specifically I wanted to mention the ski instructor - Katharina Collishaw - with whom I had a general lesson on Saturday and a private lesson on Sunday. I am a pretty nervous novice/intermediate skier and I have found the concept of moving onto harder blue runs really difficult to a point where I have considered giving up skiing.

Katharina was fantastic this weekend - not only did she make me technically much better but she built my confidence to a point where I was prepared to try a number of your blue runs. I would like to pass on my thanks to her and also wanted to make you aware of what a great instructor she is.

We will definitely return.

Dear Guest Services,

The Jakshoj-family has just spent a week at Sun Peaks Resort, March 17 to 24, 2006.  We are a family from Denmark, and this was our second visit to Canada, but our first visit to Sun Peaks.

We just want you to know what a magnificent experience it was to all of us.
We stayed at Sundance Lodge, just beside the lifts.

All that we met were friendly and helpful. If we had a problem, they tried
their best to sort it out.  No matter if it was the lodge staff, skiing teachers, rental staff or others they were service minded.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay, and hope to return in a few years.

Our stay was arranged by BCAA, Lillian Lavia, Delta Office, who also gave us
very good help and advice.

Feedback on our trip to Sun Peaks.

We visited your resort in February for four days and stayed in the Delta Hotel.

We brought along our 3 and 8 year old boys. Marc went into Sun Tots and loved every minute of it.  The skiing did not quite progress, although he was able to stop.  Good thing!  Our 8 year old had only skied a couple of times on Cypress Bowl in Vancouver and was able to make turns and stop before we got to Sun Peaks.  By the time we left he was passing us by, doing every possible jump he could find, skiing through the trees, and going on a black diamond.  WOW!

We emigrated from Europe and have no family here. This was the first time in 7 years my husband and I could actually enjoy time together with the kids well taken care of!
Thanks for an awesome break. We will be back for sure!

My adult daughter and I returned Monday March 13 from a great week of skiing at Sun Peaks.  It is the sixth resort we have skied at and it certainly ranks with the best.  Great weather, a 20 inch snow dump and friendly staff.  Good stuff.

I wish also to especially recognize the Sun Guides.  We skied with them every day and they were terrific.  Through their efforts we skied areas we would not know to go, and had a blast; powder, trees, back bowls, the works.  Also through the Sun Guides we met other guests and enjoyed their company.

Looking forward to returning, perhaps to more chairlifts…

Judging from the feedback from fellow Aussies, it appears our little secret is well and truly out.  After spending our 7th season at Sun Peaks - and at Cahilty Lodge - in January, my wife, Irene, and I feel party responsible for the influx of Aussies.  Our word-of-mouth promotion of the resort has seen many friends visit and enjoy this winter wonderland.  With guidance from Nancy Greene and husband Al - always great hosts at Cahilty - development of the resort continues to surprise and attract us.  And with instructors the caliber of George Terwiel - and his family - it is little wonder Sun Peaks attracts more Aussies each year.  The level of professionalism and hospitality in all areas of the resort make our annual pilgrimage a highlight of the year.  Keep up the great work, guys.  See you for New Year '07!

My husband and I spent eight fantastic days at Sun Peaks.  We stayed at the Delta Sun Peaks, and were looked after wonderfully. The Delta is a really lovely, comfortable and hospitable property to stay at.  To come from the tropics of North Queensland, Australia, where it was plus 40 degrees centigrade when we left home on February 3, 2006, to arrive after a 32 hour journey, and be greeted by fabulous snow and an outdoor heated pool and spa was a real experience for us.  My husband skis, so he has his own boots, and outerwear.  However, the boys at Jardine’s could not do enough for him when it came to hiring skis.  We were very proud to have come across so many young Australians working both at the Delta, and for the Sun Peaks Corporation. They are doing a great job, and appear to be well liked and great ambassadors for our country.  We ate our way around the village, and can recommend the daily soup special at Bagg’s Sweets and Cafe.  The highlight of our stay was the superb snow, the length of the runs, and the speed of which you can access the lifts.  We will certainly be back.

We have just spent the most wonderful and fun filled 2 weeks at Sun Peaks. We came across as a group of 3 families. We arrived on New Year's Eve exhausted but excited to arrive in the snow covered village. The great service we received from various outlets started with Jardine’s with the guys fitting us with skis and boots. There was never any problem with changing over ski's to try new ones. My husband and I decided to buy new boots and the guys to see are Dallas and Derek, they are the experts, thru their expertise in fitting and performing various adjustments my new boots fit and feel great. But the great service does not stop there. Onto the ski school where Meg, whom I had spoken with via email before we arrived, helped with setting up my youngest daughter into the Ski Adventure Kids program for 2 weeks. From the first lesson my daughter was taught by the fantastic Andrew Garrett who makes the lessons informative, fun, positive, and is always full of enthusiasm. Emma started as a level 3, and finished the holiday as a level 5, and by skiing Static Cling on Mt Morrisey. The more advanced skiers in our group (including my daughter Rebecca and her cousins Jesse and Alice) never got bored with the three mountains and had a lot of fun skiing amongst the trees. My sister and I enjoyed the blue runs, our favourite was Out of the Woods (especially when groomed). Over the two weeks we ate our way though all the Restaurants, my favourite being Mantles, and the Italian Restaurant, Bella Italia. My children’s favourite was the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. We all loved our time at Sun Peaks, and can not wait to get over there again.

Our entire experience at Sun Peaks has been fabulous. We arrived New Year’s Eve exhausted, but perked up as soon as we saw the village and the snow. We made our way to the ski hire shops so we would be prepared for our first day of skiing on New Year’s Day. After visiting each ski hire shop we decided on Jardines - talk about service.  We all - 6 adults ended up buying new boots over the two weeks we were there.  The guys - Brock, Dallas, Justin, Derek, and the girls fell over backwards too kit us, and three of our kids out. Over the next two weeks we ate our way through nearly all the restaurants, either eating in or taking away - the pizza's were excellent, as was Mantles Restaurant, the soup kitchen was delicious and a must for lunch. The second week of our stay involved a trip to the little medical house in the car park, as our 15 yr old son had come off a jump awkwardly and needed some attention.  After waiting a day to see if he was any better we headed off to see the fabulous Don and Dr. Gerhardt Schumacher (sorry if I’ve spelt it wrong) who advised us that he should have an x-ray of BOTH of his feet.  Mmmmmm, well it was 5pm at this stage so the dilemma is how to get to Kamloops - no drama says the doc I'll take you, and he did.  I can't say a more heart felt thank you to Dr. S. who gave up his time and advice once we got to the E.R - all ended up being ok with the feet and we headed back up to Sun Peaks.  Sun Peaks most definitely could use a bigger medical center with Dr.'s, nursing staff, and x-ray equipment.  This is on the cards & plans have been drawn up BUT money is a huge issue - as you can't build if you don't have it!!  So thank you again to Dr. Gerhardt especially.  To anyone who is thinking about going skiing at Sun Peaks DO IT!

I would just like to say that my wife, Janet and I had a fantastic time at Sun Peaks. You have a wonderful resort and the most welcoming and helpful staff. I've been trying to get Janet to come on a ski vacation for years and was finally able to this year. Thanks to the friendly staff you have we are now going to try to make it an annual vacation. The guest services staff was most helpful with any of our questions. When we asked for a ski shop they recommended, they directed us to the T2R shop under the clock tower where the friendliness continued. I went there looking for a helmet and one of the workers Ben was ever so helpful in helping me find the perfect one. I was so impressed that when my wife told me her boots were hurting her I told to go to T2R. When at T2R she was turned over to Angie who does boot fitting. I have to admit I was first surprised that it was a girl working on boots. But Angie was great, she was very thorough. She explained what needed to be done, gave us some options. In the end my wife was never happier, and as most husbands know if your wife isn't happy you sure aren't going to be. After we looked at skis and with the well knowledgeable guidance of Ben and Angie we both ended up buying the perfect skis. Thank you Sun Peaks for making our visit a great one and please thank the Guest Services staff and Ben and Angie at T2R.

We just wanted to let you know how delighted we are with the improvements which have been made to Bento’s Day Lodge!

The dropped ceiling makes the whole place much brighter and inviting. You also managed to put a light right above the Sun Peaks Antiques logo on the wall, making it really stand out. Thank you. Haven’t been in the men’s washroom but the new coat of paint, new sinks, taps and counters, more hand driers in the ladies' washroom are great. The corner with the easy chairs and coffee table are a really nice touch too.

We really appreciate Bento’s Day lodge and wanted you to know we think the improvements are the best!

My husband Lucio and I first visited Sun Peaks when it was still in its infancy in 1996. The Cahilty Lodge was under construction at the time, and the only other structure was the Day Lodge and another condo-hotel. The only mountain to ski on was Tod Mountain. That year it was 40 below. It was so cold that the only quad froze and we had to ski on the platter. But Nancy Greene - the wonderful and friendly ambassador that she is - skied with us all day. We returned six years later to discover a first-class village and a third mountain! What a fantastic surprise! During the Icewine Festival that year we met a couple from Seattle who had recently bought a home in Sun Peaks and after some excellent wine and great conversation, my husband and I decided to purchase a property. We bought a condo in the Cahilty Lodge that same week and never regretted the decision. We've skied throughout BC for over 10 years but nothing compares to Sun Peaks in terms of ambiance, snow, and skiing conditions, friendly staff no matter where you go, great activities: snow shoeing, dog sledding, and skating. We've had our own place now for the last three years and every time we have to leave Sun Peaks - even after a month - we look forward to returning! In my heart Sun Peaks is my second home - I want to be nowhere else. I can't wait to return again in January 2007. I'm counting the days at this stage!! Heaven on earth is called Sun Peaks!!!

The hotel staff at Delta are absolutely first rate, no wonder they are the only property at Sun Peaks earning the CAA 4 diamond rating. We truly enjoy all the amenities the Residences has to offer, from free ski valet in the winter to bike storage during the summer. We liked the fact that we have access to the Delta hotel swimming pool through the covered connector on the second floor. Delta is the only hotel here at Sun Peaks that has a swimming pool (heated) and three hot tubs. A great feature for our two young sons.

The $25/night housekeeping fees we paid during our stay is an absolute bargain in my opinion. Normally, one has to pay at least $13/day for parking and $12/day for internet connection, the Residences provides both free of charge. And after a hard day of skiing and other fun activities, it`s nice to come back to a clean room. The full kitchen with microwave, oven, full size fridge and dishwasher means we hardly have to eat out. The ensuite laundry (with detergent and softener provided free of charge) means no dirty laundry when we get home. It`s also nice to have three flat screen TV in our two bedroom unit. Our boys can watch their favourite show in their room, and mom and dad in theirs.

The monthly owner's fee plus strata fees works out to be around $370. With 13 weeks available in the year, we spent about six of those in the Residences (sometimes over a long weekend, others are the full week), we managed to break even with the rental pool revenue applied against the strata fees.

In the final analysis, the Residences at Sun Peaks has been a great experience for us.

Vincent, Lewis and I had a great summer of DH riding at Sun Peaks and other mountains this year. I hope you continue to improve and upgrade trails and hold local race events to increase enthusiasm and attendance - use us local guys for help with racing or work parties, ee would be happy to support our summer sport.

We recently passed some days in Sun Peaks and this was really fantastic. Morning tour on our first day with the Sun Guides to get familiar with the area - from my skiing instructorss view, I would recommend this to all skiers new to Sun Peaks. Special thanks to Thor and Ken for the powder rides, see you again!

I just moved up to Kamloops in September to attend school and new years day was my first time I was able to make it out. What a fabulous mountain! I went to Whistler and Baker over the holidays and neither was as spectacular as Sun Peaks. The staff was extremely courteous, line up short and snow was awesome. I will definitely be trying to talk my classmates into daily visits.

Your Sun Guides cannot improve, they are the best. Thanks for providing this service. It made my holiday just that much better. Sun Guides Ken, Chuck, and Thor made my day phenomenal. Our group was taught the mountain; Where runs connected, how to get from A to B, nuances of the hill, and above all had a wonderful ski experience catered to my ability level. They were humorous and thoughtful to our group’s needs. I cannot wait to do more skiing with the guides. These guys are an asset to Sun Peaks, thank you.

Sun Guides are such a great service, the day was perfect. Our guides made sure we had fun, went at our pace and recommended runs to take our children on later. Chuck was full of interesting historical information about Sun Peaks, while Len’s sense of humour was just hysterical! They made it seem as if we were out with a couple of friends and we really appreciated learning about which runs best suit our level of skiing.

Just read the May 17 Bike Park update. I am all for maintenance and you guys do an incredible job. But when I read of the things you want to do to Sugar, Sweet One, Honey Drop, and Insanity One please make sure maintenance isn't confused with dumbing the trails down. Those started as technical trails and I'd like to see them stay that way. You can go plenty fast on all of them with the appropriate level of skill and confidence. Again you guys do great work it is much appreciated and I know you'll do the right thing.

I'm not if you're the one I should be sending this message to, but you can pass it on if you think someone else should get it too. I just wanted to say that I was super impressed with the trail crew this biking season. I've up the last few Sundays, and I was shocked to see how much had been done since the rain - Smitty's Steeps is in amazing shape! So many trails have been fixed up and are smooth and flowing! Thanks guys! Awesome job!

Thank you so much for keeping the mountain in mountain biking! My wife and I are very experienced riders, and we had an absolute blast at Sun Peaks last weekend. We have noticed a disturbing trend of all the parks switching to primarily machine built jump trails. Although I do enjoy a jump trail on occasion, I would much rather ride natural, steep, and technical trails, which we found plenty of at Sun Peaks. Trails like Insanity One, Honey Drop, and Kaboom were fantastic! They featured high speed sections with natural hits plus awesome steeps. We also fell in love with Gummy Bear to Arm Pump. Your bike park is the first park that we weren’t bored with after one day of riding. I understand you have to cater to what people want, and a large number of riders flock to the machine built stuff, possibly because they lack the skills to ride steep technical runs, but I wanted to make sure that you know there are those of us out here that like the other trails as well. I sincerely hope you continue to provide the type of trails that got most of us into this sport in the first place!

Thanks for the great bike park, and fantastic trails.

Offer more terrain park oriented activities. This mountain could be more competitive with a larger park. We’re a family of six from Washington State, and my kids are looking for more terrain park activities.

The New Year’s Big Air show was amazing. My children thoroughly enjoyed it. Could you increase the number of smaller park rails for my kids?

The big tall guy in the terrain park is amazing. He always had a smile on his face, and took the time to teach my twin sons the park rules.

We have just had our first visit to Sun Peaks and we went out with your Sun Guides. The people we went with were excellent (Dan, Donna and Andrew). There is no doubt they made our stay more enjoyable than if we had just skied all the time on our own. We intend to come back to Sun Peaks again and take advantage of the Sun Guides. My only suggestion is that a 9:30 start would be a bit better to allow more time to get organised!

Just wanted to let you know about the great job your lift operator Damian and Patrollers Kit and Denny did yesterday. A young boy fell awkwardly on the poma lift. He was initially cared for by the adult supervising the group while Damian contacted patrol. Patrol arrived (Kit and Denny) and assessed the young lad. He was then packaged and loaded quickly and skillfully onto a toboggan to be taken to the First Aid room and out of the cold. The injured boy was then re-assesed and transported via BCAS to RIH. Your team did a great job of caring for the boy and keeping the father informed. They displayed professionalism throughout. Keep up the good work. Please convey our thanks to Damian, Denny and Kit.

My family would like to give many thanks to all Sun Peaks ski staff for excellent service, particularly to Kyle Rolfe.

Today we decided to ski Exhibition run. We had skied only green runs before. The last part of the run turned out to be too steep for our daughter, she got scared, terrified and could not get down. She was in tears. I stayed with her on the run and my wife skied down to ask for help. Lift personal was very helpful and directed her right away to one of the instructors - Kyle Rolfe.

Kyle went up to the run, skied down and made a miracle happen - amazingly my daughter skied down after him, following his tracks without any fear. He told her not to give up, keep practicing and build confidence to ski that blue run that she actually already skied down with him. She is very inspired by his act, his words and his skills. She kept skiing till the end of the day and made a big progress.

Again many thanks to personnel - Kyle Rolfe, lift operators, ski instructors and to management for organizing such a great team! It is our second time in Sun Peaks and we are looking forward to coming back in years to follow to this wonderful ski resort.

I attended a conference at Sun Peaks in early April, and arrived from Vancouver a day early on Thursday, April 7, to get in some skiing. This was my first trip to Sun Peaks, and as I did not know anyone to ski with, and did not know the slopes, I hooked up with the Sun Guides. In my many years and many mountains of skiing, I had never availed myself of guides at other mountains, and cannot speak for their programs, but this was a hoot! I thought that this would be a two to three run familiarization tour, but I was the only guest with Richard, and he took me all over the ski area for the entire day. We ran out of day before we both ran out of legs, but just barely.

Although I was supposed to be in my conference on Friday, Thursday had been so much fun that I had to do it again, and blew off that conference day. I hooked up with a larger group consisting of Sun Guides Ken, Chuck, and Terry, and about five other guests. Another great day with like-minded ski crazies.  What really struck me is that a lot of the people I skied with, especially the Sun Guides, were not exactly spring chickens, but all had the skills, desire, and stamina to ski hard all day long on challenging terrain; amazing!

Thank you for having this program and utilizing people who are so passionate about their skiing. Although I used to ski just for skiing’s sake a number of decades ago, and now often end up skiing for the company and views, when I get the opportunity to combine all three, the experience cannot be beat. On the Friday, four of the guests had had a condo up there for many years, and even though they were all excellent skiers and knew the mountains well, still found value in spending the day with the Guides. The program keeps bringing the guests back, and I hope it continues. I don't get the opportunity to get by that part of the world often, but it certainly is on my list of things to do again, and the Sun Guides are part of the draw.

I just want to say thank-you for such a wonderful experience. Especially HUGE thanks to the ski school! Both my kids took the beginner 1/2 day lesson on the first day and loved it so much we went for a second lesson the next day. My son, Owen, has autism and I was extremely impressed by how welcomed we were. The first day his teachers were Graham and Bex. I hung around to ensure Owen was adjusting well to the class and the teachers. I feel like I can't express how impressed I was. Their patience with him was amazing and I never once felt they were overwhelmed, and I know that working with kids with autism can be overwhelming. I absolutely felt like I could have left him in the class and they would have been able to handle it. For a parent of a child with autism, that in itself is a huge gift. THANKS! The second day Thomas was the instructor. He too had the patience for Owen and was able to multitask with the other students. I know this was extremely difficult since he was the only teacher with the group that day. As a whole, the fact there are instructors experienced working with kids with autism is totally amazing! I would encourage you to make that information more known. And the fact it cost me the same to put my son with autism in a lesson as putting my daughter in a class was EXTREMELY awesome. We will absolutely come back and will tell everyone about our experience. Thanks again!

This was my families first season in Canada. We chose Sun Peaks because it has built quite a rapport with some of our family friends.

The level of service we received from all departments at the resort was amazing. I can honestly say I had the time of my life at Sun Peaks with my husband and two young children on this trip.

The main reason for my email is to provide you with praise of one of your employees at the Sunburst Lodge. We first came in contact with Danni on one of her days off. My seven year old son fell coming off the chairlift, and she not only helped him back up, but she encouraged him to give it another go. My son did get up, dry his eyes and did give it another go. He loved every second of it. The fact that this girl, on her days off, shows such a high level of customer service and care amazes me.

The next contact that we had with Danni was at the Sunburst Lodge. Myself, husband, and two children went to have lunch in the lodge. Firstly, I have to wonder if she was working by herself. I applaud her. The bus boy was standing with friends having a ten minute conversation. Danni handled the lunch rush well. While the line-up for the kitchen and cashier was of decent size, Danni kept up spirits, kept a smile on her face and even greeted each of my kids individually.

From our first lunch experience we continued to luncheon at the Sunburst Lodge daily until our departure. It was always interesting to see what color bow Danni would decide to wear that day.

The most amazing experience of our trip for ourselves and especially my daughter (who always loved the bows Danni was wearing) was on our last day when Danni had bought my daughter a bow of her own to wear. My Daughter is still rapt with it. In the week that we have been back home in Australia, I have not seen her without it.

I congratulate you on the job that you have done. Your resort has raised the bar for future holiday experiences.

Thank you very much for all the assistance from Sun Peaks Resort Corporation staff over the last few days, as we ran the Okanagan Zone GS races on OSV. Without the cooperation and facilitation from Sun Peaks, there is no way we could have pulled that off, with the challenges that we faced. We had 127 racers registered, and many families here from out of town, including racers from the Yukon and Prince George. The cooperation from the mountain was noted by many ‘out-of-towners’, who were amazed at what we accomplished, and we received many compliments on the quality of the event. Thanks again for your assistance in delivering another successful event.

My daughters aged two and three had several one hour lessons last week with two of your wonderful instructors Andrew and Megan. Both of them adored their instructors and had tons of fun with them and were skiing, riding the Platter Lift, and most importantly, able to snow plow and stop after a few lessons. Megan and Andrew were excellent teachers of toddlers able to judge when they had had enough, when they needed encouragement and most of all to make skiing fun. They both went out of their way to fit Olivia and Frankie’s lessons into their daily schedules so they would have consistency with instructors.

I wanted to take a moment and compliment the crew whom has been working the Elevation Chairlift over the season. Our family has skied every weekend since the beginning of December and holiday stretches this season, so we have seen this crew a lot. Quite simply, they have made our season, particularly Greg. We have two kids, one four and one seven who absolutely love riding the chair so they can say hi to Greg, throw a snowball (with little accuracy but loads of "ham" from Greg). On more than one occasion as the kids energy was flagging, we would hit Elevation and they immediately would get buoyed by the prospects of seeing Greg and the attention he gave them. It was more than being professional and doing a good job (slowing the lift for the kids, being safe, or always having a smile on "cheers mate") he would always go the extra mile, it didn't matter if it was first lift or last, loading, or unloading... He made a personal connection with my family and we are grateful to him for that.

I am aware of the Peak Performer program Sun Peaks Resort Corporation operates and I truly believe that Greg is that in every sense of the word, a Peak Performer, ambassador, and promoter for Sun Peaks.

We understand that he has applied for summer employment on the trail crew and I would be happy to provide a reference for him, and his work ethic that I have seen first hand. It will be a loss for Sun Peaks when he has to return to New Zealand when his visa expires.

Our recent ten day vacation at Sun Peaks Resort has been a very enjoyable experience. Coming from the United States, we have many choices for ski resorts from Colorado to California, but we are now telling our friends that Sun Peaks is the best! The skiing, mountain views, and grooming were top notch, but it is the people who work there that made this a wonderful time.

Although all of the staff from guest services to the lift operators are courteous and pleasant, there are several staff members who really stand out to make our vacation a memorable one.

The first is Sun Guide, Thor Grundell. Thor is an excellent guide and public relations man for Sun Peaks. We skied with him every day. He loves showing people the skiing and mountains, but more importantly, he wants to get to know people and their stories. He has a genuine interest in people. He went out of his way to make sure that we had everything that we needed, and that we knew where to find everything during our stay at Sun Peaks. He also met up with us on one of his days off to ski with us and show us more of the mountain. He is a wonderful person to know at Sun Peaks.

The next three people are employed at Masa’s, where we seem to end up several times while we are on vacation, for both food and drink. Manager Bill Duncan, and bartenders Greg and Marty. All of the employees from Masa’s were wonderful people, and the food was top notch, but it was these three people who stood out in our eyes.

Bill is always a pleasure to talk with, and always greeted us with a smile and handshake when we walked in, as if he was our old friend. Greg took the initiative to learn our names and our favourite drinks to have waiting for us whenever we entered Masa’s. He may have only been “doing his job” as he says, but he did it very well. Marty was a truly entertaining and professional bartender who always had a story about Sun Peaks or about his native Australia. Whenever we’d come in during the day, both Greg and Marty wanted to hear all of the details about which runs we had taken and which ones we liked best, before entertaining us with their stories. Greg even went out boarding with us on his day off to make sure that we saw all of the mountain’s views. All three of these people kept us coming back several times during the day to warm up, and help us spend our vacation money. They made Masa’s a very warm and inviting place for us.

We have already thanked these people for what they have done for us, but want to make sure that you also know what they did for us, and why we will be coming back again next year. They went above and beyond what we normally see at all other ski areas, and made our ski vacation one of the most memorable times that we’ve had. If you have an employee recognition program, please move these people’s names to the top!

Thank you for allowing your people to provide us with a wonderful ski vacation at Sun Peaks!

I want to commend everyone in Guest Services for an outstanding job done.
My family enjoyed a wonderful day ice-skating, and tubing on December 28, 2007. I discovered a few weeks later that we had left behind my husband's hockey glove at the ice rink. I called and asked if anyone might have time to look through the lost and found in the next few days, understanding that this could easily be a large task to go through such a vast number of items. Two days later, I received a call back and was told that yes they had found the glove and they would look into costs for shipping it to us in Langley. I thanked them very much for all their time and waited to hear back. Lo and behold, not two days later a courier arrived at my door with the glove safely inside. Prepaid, no less!
I was so completely overwhelmed by the lengths the staff went to ensure we received our lost item back. And my husband is very appreciative since we all know hockey gloves can be quite expensive.
Again, we are very grateful and have nothing but positive things to say about Sun Peaks. We have shared our story with everyone we know to encourage them to visit the wonderful world of Sun Peaks.

I just wanted to thank and make known that you have some great employees working on the ski hill.  We were skiing on the weekend and we got in a mix up at the Mid station.  My husband, son, and I were skiing together and we got off at the top and were going to meet up at the Burfield Quad mid station. We had done the run before so we were all familiar with it.  Mike got there first and I who am usually holding up the rear came in second.  Of course we were talking about Ryan not being there yet. Getting more concerned by the minute a really nice ski patroller came up to us because he could see we were were starting to get worried.  He was on his way to the top and said if he did not show up soon to tell the lift attendant and she would radio up and they would have a look for him.  In the mean time Judy, who is absolutely amazing, had already radioed to the bottom thinking maybe he had missed the turn off.  She came over and talked to me as Mike had also gone to the top to ski down and have a look for him.  Pretty soon the phone rang and he had turned up at the bottom of the lift. Sigh of relief. I am your typical panicking Mother.  Thank you again for all of your help. It was greatly appreciated.

I did a group lesson with my 15 year old daughter. Our instructor was a lady named Anne Terwiel, who lives only ten minutes away. She is fabulous. In our group there were 5 adults and 3 young teenagers. Needless to say the two different groups wanted to learn different things. The teenagers wanted to ski through the trees and do jumps, while the adults wanted to improve on general technique and learn how to handle powder. Anne was excellent at recognizing our individual needs/desires and accommodated everyone beautifully. She took the girls on trails through the trees, taught them stuff, giggled, and yelled with them. She learned all of our names, and gave each of us individual tips and help. Thank you Anne.

The cooks were having fun, they asked me how my day was, and they thanked me for coming in. I observed that the people in front and behind me in the line received the same level of service. The cashier and the busser were also amazing. They said hello at the start of the service encounter, and thanked me at the end of it. Good afternoon Layla,

I don’t know how to say a huge enough thank you to everyone at Sun Peaks Resort. Everyone up there rocks!  I hope that the enthusiasm and energy from each person that works there continue over the years.  As a worker in this industry I am so proud to have people as yourselves as my co-workers.  Also, a huge thank you to all the lifties that were so nice to people learning to ski and snowboard.

Also, a special thank you to Stephanie, she was awesome driving us from the village to the hotel when we were lost.  I can assure you that I will promote Sun Peaks Resort as an incredible destination for winter and summer.

I want to bring your attention to Patrick at the Activities and Information Centre.  His customer service skills are phenomenal!  Patrick took the extra step to lend us his back pack, so that we could thoroughly enjoy our snowshoe trip up to the lake.  This was completely unexpected.  Fantastic job Patrick, and thanks again.

We had not planned to use the Sun Guide service, but by chance we met up with Al Michel, whose help was immense.  He was a charming host, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him.  He opened up areas of the mountain that we might have otherwise not seen.  Thank you Al for everything.  We had a great day with you.

My thanks to the ski patrol on March 11 at 8:30am at the base of Mt. Morrissey.  The patroller informed my son and I that we were too early, and arranged a lift to the Sundance Express for us, saving us from along walk or wait.  This kind of service was unexpected and appreciated.  Thank you.

A HUGE thank you to Cassandra, the groomer! She took time out to help me on New Years Eve to find a lost camera case with a years worth of pictures on a memory chip that I lost in the snow. I found Cassandra to be a conscientious employee, and a very giving person!  She resolved a bad situation with her skill, and positive attitude. Thank you Cassandra for being you! I wish you well in all your adventures.

Warm Regards,
