- During the warmer months at Sun Peaks park your vehicle and take advantage of the quaint village design by riding your bike or walking with the kids to the Sunburst Express chairlift, hotels, eateries, shopping, the swimming pool, spas, and a variety of activities.
- Most biking and hiking trails lead right into the village, so it’s easy to connect with your friends and family after spending a day on the mountain.
Family Friendly
- Kids Mountain Adventure Camps are being offered all summer long giving kids the chance to learn about and experience horseback trail rides, mountain biking, hiking, canoeing, and so much more.
- The Sports Centre features an outdoor swimming pool, ‘kiddie pool’, hot tub, two tennis courts, and basketball court.
- The Bike Park at Sun Peaks is not just for the extreme. We offer a wide variety of lift access trails off the Sunburst Express chairlift, as well as a developed cross country trail system in the lower sections of the valley.
- The Three Bears Daycare in the village offers child minding services and summer activities for children aged two and half years and up.
Summer Events and Festivals
- Canada Day celebrations at Sun Peaks Resort has something for everyone. At Sun Peaks we like to celebrate our country’s birthday for two days not just one. Our Canada Day celebration gets started with the annual Joe’s Road Running Race, and the fun continues with the kid’s carnival, an evening laser and light show that will dance across the village, and a massive birthday cake made by the chefs at Masa’s.
- Come take in the beauty of the Alpine Blossom Festival from July 19 to August 17, 2008. During the festival we’re excited to be hosting Music in the Mountains with the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra, and dining in the alpine at the Sunburst Mid Mountain Restaurant Salmon BBQ.
- The Porsche Club of Amercia, Canada West Region returns to Sun Peaks Resort for their annual car show August 15–17, 2008.
- NEW FOR SUMMER 2008! July 26, 2008, is your chance to demo the latest rigs from Rocky Mountain Bikes. Not only are you going to ride the latest bikes from Rocky, but you’re going to be riding them with Wade ‘The Prophet’ Simmons.
