Sun Peaks offers three dog sledding in British Columbia tours. The choice is yours, you can either mush your own team, or ride as a passenger in the guide’s sled. If you choose to mush your own team, you must be in good physical condition, as it is possible you may have to run alongside the sled on short hills. Be sure to dress warm with good winter boots (no ski boots), and gloves. Dog sledding tours are a very popular activity and it is recommended that you book early to avoid disappointment as this activity fills up fast.

Bring your family on an adventure of a lifetime! Your journey begins with an introduction to our canine family. All the dogs are quite sociable, like any family there are very outgoing and also some that are shy. We will teach you how to handle the dogs and control the sled and off you go chasing the guide down the beautiful scenic trail in the Sun Peaks backcountry.

This tour is offered as both a guided or self-driven experience. Guests 5 years of age and older are welcome to participate however only those 16 years of age and older can drive the sled, with an adult as a primary driver.

*Rates are per sled. Configuration can be: 1 adult, 2 adults up to 350lbs, 1 adult and 1 child, or 1 adult and 2 children.

This an exciting and more challenging tour. Be prepared to help your team up the hills and control the sled back down on the way home. It's all worth it when we reach peaceful Little McGillivray Lake.

This tour is offered as both a guided or self-driven experience.  Guests 14 years of age and older are welcome to participate however only those 18 years of age and older can drive the sled.
