July 23, 8:30am
Following a brief closure as a result of wildfire activity in the area, Sun Peaks Resort is very pleased to announce we will be re-opening for full operations on Saturday, July 24. Lift-accessed biking, hiking, sightseeing, the golf course, various activities, restaurants, and accommodations are all ready to welcome guests once again.
We would especially like to thank the BC Wildfire Service, Sun Peaks Fire Rescue, visiting firefighters, and all individuals and entities involved in helping ensure our community stay safe while we patiently waited for the opportunity to get back to enjoying the mountains. As with much of British Columbia, weather conditions remain challenging, and guests are asked to be extra mindful in the coming days to minimize potential risks.
Any additional updates will be provided as necessary. For current conditions, please view the live webcams. Events may be re-scheduled or postponed, so be sure to check the event calendar for the latest information.
Guests are asked to monitor Drive BC for updates on the Heffley-Louis Creek Road prior to travelling to Sun Peaks, as road delays may still be possible this weekend.
