Opening Weekend + Après and Ales, November 23
If you’re itching to get out on the slopes in British Columbia, then you’re going to want to add our Opening Weekend to your calendar on November 23. Our consistent early-season snowfall and summer prep work will have you carving up the slopes sooner. Opening day is always filled with endless laps and plenty of winter stoke. Once you’ve used your ski legs to the max, stop by Masa’s Bar + Grill where your alpine lift ticket (or season pass) will score you a cold Granville Island Winter Ale from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
Savour the Sun mountain wine festival, December 5 – 8
The Savour the Sun Mountain Wine Festival returns to bring you a weekend of food, wine, and winter bliss. A partnership between Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country, Sun Peaks Grand Hotel, and Sun Peaks Resort will bring a selection of wines from some of the regions most celebrated winemakers to the mountain. Snow lovers can spend the day on the slopes before savouring rare and expressive wines paired with delicious food created by the hotel and resort's culinary teams. Tickets now available for purchase online.
Holiday Kick-Off, December 13 – 15
Celebrate a snow-filled holiday season during our Holiday Kick-Off Weekend, where the village comes alive with free winter fun. Do some last-minute shopping at the Holiday Artisan Market, snap a photo with Santa, taste a maple taffy sample, and more with this weekend of fun festivities.
New Year’s Eve Celebrations, December 31
Ring in the coming of a New Year with an evening of celebration. New Year’s Eve in Sun Peaks is packed full of exciting events such as the First Flight Big Air Invitational, Kids Glow Stick Parade, the Torchlight Parade and a fantastic fireworks show. After the fireworks, wander through the village and check out one of several New Year’s Eve parties.

We are stoked to welcome back Peak Pride for an extended weekend full of music, food and celebration. The mountain will come to life in celebration of all members of the LGBT2Q+ community.
Sun Peaks Wine and Food Festival, March 5 – 8

Bluebird Banked Slalom + Demo Days, March 7 – 8
Back for its 9th year, the Bluebird Banked Slalom promises to be one of the most entertaining events of the season. This unique slalom race uses the naturally banked terrain of 5 Mile’s ‘Hully Gully’ and is open to both skiers and boarders alike. Bonus: try out the latest and greatest gear while you race or explore the mountain during our Demo Days.
Nordic Festival, March 14 – 15
The Sun Peaks Nordic Festival is a weekend packed full of fun on skinny skis. Warm up on Saturday night with the sprint challenge, and then slow it down with your choice of loppet distance on Sunday. All ages and ability levels are welcome to take part in the festival. A post-race social will be held at the Nordic Centre with draw prizes galore!
Tod Mountain Days Spring Festival, April 11 – 13
When the ski season comes to an end in Sun Peaks, we like to celebrate in style with Tod Mountain Days. Dozens of costumed skiers and boarders attempt to skim across the water at the Slush Cup, speed demons race to the bottom of the hill during the Top to Bottoms Run, and all of the winter enthusiasts are encouraged to dress in their best retro gear. This weekend is a hit for the entire family!
