Foam Fest, June 15
Get your fun run fix with this foam-filled event. During the race you’ll face mucky mud pits, skill testing obstacles and more bubbles than you can imagine. The festival atmosphere of this event offers fun activities for the whole family. Make sure to register in advance.
Sun Peaks Market Days, Sundays; June 16 to September 29
Sun Peaks Twilight Markets, July 13 & August 10
Market season is coming and our Market Days are worth adding to your list. Stock up on fresh fruit and veggies, meat, seafood, handcrafted items and more while enjoying live music in our village. To sweeten the deal, we have added two brand new Twilight Markets on July 13 and August 10 where you can spend a summer evening browsing from 6:00pm – 9:00pm.
Hiking & Biking Opening Weekend, June 21 to 23
The Sunburst chair will start spinning for the summer on Friday, June 21. Explore what lays under the snow by experiencing 2,000 vertical feet of mountain bike trails and alpine hiking trails. Also back by popular demand, our annual Lift and a Lager event will be held on Saturday, June 22. Show your alpine hiking or bike park ticket and quench your thirst with a beer* from 12:00pm to 6:00pm at Sunburst Bar + Eatery.
*Must show 2 pieces of ID and be 19 years of age or older to pick up your beer at Sunburst Bar + Eatery. Limited to 1 beer per ticket or season pass
Mountain Spirit Festival, June 21 to 23
Relax and unwind with Interior Wellness at their third annual Mountain Spirit Festival. This uplifting weekend is full of yoga classes, workshops, nature experiences, and local food. Build up your ideal schedule and make the weekend your own.
Canada Day Weekend, June 29 to July 1
We’re celebrating Canada Day by packing the entire weekend with family fun. Join us for great food inspired by local and fresh ingredients, live outdoor music and entertainment (including a clown performance and bubble show!). Our village will be bustling all weekend long.
Summer Patio Party, July 12 to 14
This is your chance to soak up the sun as you hop between the multiple patios that adorn our village. Enjoy refreshing drinks and good eats as you listen to live music during the Summer Patio Party.
Family Weeks, July 15 to August 9
Once again, we are offering free, kid-friendly activities from Monday to Friday during our Family Weeks. Kids will be able to choose between a variety of activities such as art classes, Interactive Science Shows, driving range and Velocity Raptors educational session and raptor viewing.
High Five Day, July 15
This is your chance to get the best deal on lift tickets! A $5 donation and a non-perishable food item will get you a lift ticket for the day (sightseeing, hiking, or biking). All proceeds are going to the Sun Peaks Recreational Trail Association (SPRTA), with food donations to the Kamloops Food Bank as in previous years. So, while you explore our alpine, you can know that you’re helping a great cause.
Alpine Blossom Festival, July 20 to 21
Our alpine wildflowers reach the height of their bloom mid- to late-July and we're celebrating with our annual Alpine Blossom Festival. Come take in the sights by hopping on the Sunburst chairlift and accessing our hiking and biking trails. Our village will also come alive with a host of entertainers, activities and more.
Live Music: Serena Ryder, July 27
Get ready to “Stompa” your feet, because Serena Ryder is coming to Sun Peaks for a free concert! The six-time JUNO Awards winning artist will be performing this outdoor show with the mountains as her amphitheater. You’re going to want to bring your dancing shoes for this one.
The 10th Annual Retro Concert Weekend, August 23 to 25
We are celebrating 10 years of your favourite songs with yet another Retro Concert Music Weekend. Bands will be playing tribute to Led Zeppelin, The Tragically Hip, Neil Young and more for three days of classic hits.
Peaks Pedal Fest, August 31 to September 2
Labour Day long weekend is going to be dedicated to another rad season of bicycling. The event schedule is going to be packed full and includes: Seek + Enjoy Poker Ride, Kids Foot-Down Derby, the Yeah Bru! Classic Dual Slalom, and Lift and a Lager.
Bonus Weekends, September 6-8; September 13 to 15; September 20 to 22; September 27 to 29
This year we will keep the lift turning for four bonus weekends so you can explore our trails right through September. The Sunburst chairlift will give you four additional weekends to enjoy our alpine.
