Dan Mangan and Bedouin Soundclash to headline Sun Peaks' Music in the Mountains

Sun Peaks, BC (June 28, 2018) – Music in the Mountains is coming to Sun Peaks, August 25-26, 2018. Spanning two days, the weekend of free outdoor concerts will feature award-winning Canadian headliners, Dan Mangan and Bedouin Soundclash.

Two-time JUNO award winner and two-time Polaris Music Prize listed musician and songwriter, Dan Mangan, returns to Sun Peaks on Saturday evening at 6:00pm to kick-off the weekend with his harmonious indie-rock melodies. The Vancouver-based artist celebrates four studio LPs including “Nice, Nice, Very Nice” (2009) and “Oh Fortune” (2011), which debuted at number nine on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart.

Bedouin Soundclash will round out the JUNO award winning lineup when they hit the stage on Sunday afternoon at 1:00pm. Known for hits including “When the Night Feels My Song” (2006) and “Walls Fall Down” (2008), the band reemerged this year, following a seven year hiatus, with the release of their fifth studio album, +MASS-.

Music in the Mountains adds to an impressive lineup of free concerts at Sun Peaks this summer. Canada Day weekend features the eclectic sounds of Big Sugar, a mainstay of Canadian Rock, on June 30 at 7:00pm. Then, on July 20-22, visitors will enjoy live music as they patio-hop through Sun Peaks’ village during the Summer Patio Party.  The always popular Retro Concert Weekend returns August 10-12, featuring live tribute bands that will have guests rocking slopeside.

Last year, Sun Peaks welcomed an estimated 7,000 attendees to pulled up a lawn chair for Sun Peaks' free outdoor concerts.
