ArtZone Launches 60 Years of Tod Exhibition

Posted February 8, 2022

Coming together to celebrate the 60th anniversary of skiing at Tod Mountain, ArtZone — the Sun Peaks Arts Society — has collected works of art recognizing the beauty of our natural environment, the spirit of our community, and the winter sport we all love so dearly.

‘Dreams Aglow,’ a limited-edition custom painting by Sun Peaks local and ArtZone member Zuzy Rocka, launched the 60th season of skiing on Tod Mountain on November 20, 2020. Building on this, Sun Peaks Resort worked with ArtZone to help further profile works by our local artists. ArtZone members were invited to submit pieces to be displayed as part of the 60 Years of Tod Exhibition, which launched in the public spaces of the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel on February 1.

Guests of the resort are encouraged to take a stroll through the hotel lobby spaces and view the works, on display until the end of the winter season in April. Art on display is available for purchase online here.

ArtZone is a community-based group of local arts and culture enthusiasts who work at all levels to organize festivals, workshops, exhibits, art demonstrations, and cultural events to showcase the beautiful valley we call home.

Sun Peaks Resort and the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel are proud to support ArtZone and our local arts and culture community and help bring this exhibit to life.
