With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality, tourism and travel industry, his skills include leadership, critical and innovative thinking and is a strategic planner and visionary. He brings a global business perspective to the board having led and managed businesses in varied environments across 3 continents and 7 countries apart from having a coast to coast experience across Canada.
James Bingham – Hotel Lodging Director
Hotel Manager of Coast Sundance Lodge
James moved to Sun Peaks in November 2013 as the Hotel Manager of the Coast Sundance Lodge, and has thoroughly enjoyed his time in our lovely community. With a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria, James has been in the hospitality industry for over 7 years.
James also sits on the Tourism Sun Peaks Marketing Committee. In his short time here, he has seen the resort grow and looks forward to what the future holds for Sun Peaks both as a resort and a community.
Reiner Brecht – Non-Hotel Lodging Director
Owner and General Manager of Bear Country
Petr Duda – Residential Director
Full time resident of Sun Peaks since 1998.
First elected to TSP Board in 1999 and since then used pre-retirement experience as Internal Audit Manager for a large corporation in Ontario to set up and chair the Audit Committee function at TSP.
Under careful guidance of the Audit Committee the financial performance of TSP has reached a level of maturity where it has been repeatedly receiving "clean" audits from the external auditors for several years.
