Synopsis

A trough of low-pressure lying over the BC south coast this morning will bring a few flurries to the resort as it weakens and drifts eastward across southern BC today and tonight. Snowfall will be light.  A cooler westerly flow aloft will follow the trough, leading to occasional sunny breaks and drier conditions on Monday. Temperatures will remain mild today, then cool by a few degrees tomorrow. The approaching low-pressure trough will bring light SW winds with the occasional moderate gust into the alpine today.

Extended Outlook

Tuesday to Thursday: A westerly flow aloft will bring the next Pacific weather system across southern BC on Tuesday, bringing a good chance of another light snowfall to the resort. Variable cloudiness, along with occasional flurries and cooler temperatures, will follow for Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures are expected to remain seasonably cool throughout the period, with freezing levels remaining below village level.
