School Groups

A safe and fun experience that creates lasting memories is what our Slope Side Program aims for with every visiting elementary and secondary school group.

The Slope Side School Program at Sun Peaks is popular, because it offers a quality experience at an affordable rate. The rates offered to school groups are substantially lower than walk-in rates.

Slope Side School Program rates are not valid on the following dates:
December 3, 2011
December 4, 2011
December 17, 2011 – January 3, 2012
February 18, 2012 – February 26, 2012
March 17, 2012 – March 25, 2012

*Prices include 12% HST. Complimentary chaperone lift tickets available on a 10:1 ratio for paid elementary students and 20:1 for paid secondary. Seasons passes are not included in final paid student count. Additional chaperones shall pay the chaperone rates on a 10:1 ratio of paid students above the complimentary lift tickets to a maximum of 6 per day. This program is for students 18 years and under, any group members 19 years and older are considered chaperones and will pay accordingly. Chaperones may join any student lesson for free. Chaperones must be able to ski or ride to the ability level of their assigned students. The final count for chaperones must be sent with the student information 7 days prior to arrival, so they can be applied to the total invoice. Chaperones arriving on the day of and paying individually will have to pay regular rates. Rental packages include skis, boots, and poles; or snowboard and boots.

• All prices shown are per person, per day, and in Canadian funds.
• Rates inclusive of 12% HST.
• Slopeside School Program is only available for schools in British Columbia, Canada.
• School groups require one group leader to organize the trip and one full payment.
• Lessons are mandatory for all school groups. Lessons are scheduled for 1.5 hours of instruction between 9am and 1:30pm, depending on students' skiing ability.
• Rental ski packages include: skis, boots, poles and a helmet; or rental snowboarding packages include: boots, board, bindings, wrist guards and a helmet.
• Please note that children under 8 years old are not able to participate in snowboarding.
• Slopeside School Program is not available during the following dates: December 17, 2011 to January 3, 2012, February 18–26, 2012 and March 17–25, 2012.
• In addition, Slopeside Program is not available December 3 and 4, 2011.

• Complete the Registration Form provided and email or fax the form back to Sun Peaks Resort. We will register you for the dates required and send a confirmation.

• Send Pre-Sets and Payment Forms at least 7 days prior to arrival to date to groups@sunpeaksresort.com, or faxing to 250.578.5506. Instructors are booked 7 days in advance. This ensures students will be assigned to lessons according to their ability level specified on the pre-set forms. 
• An invoice will be sent back to the school for the amount due on the day of arrival.
• Waivers and student information card can be presented on the day of arrival at the resort. 

• Groups Coordinator will greet your bus at Bento's parking lot to discuss safety, lesson times, lesson location and hand out tickets.
• All students who require rentals will be brought over to the rental shop together and fitted for their boots, skis, and snowboards. Helmets and wrist guards are available.
• Any remaining balance on your account can be completed at the Snow Sports Sales Desk.
• Extra unused tickets can be returned to Guest Services for a refund.  Refunds will be issued in the form of a cheque and will be processed within 2 weeks.
