Sun Peaks hosts the annual "Giving Tuesd-eh" in support of the many non-profit organizations that are truly the foundation of our community. Sun Peaks is a vibrant mountain resort municipality with no shortage of passionate and involved local residents who commit countless hours of volunteer time in dozens of community groups, clubs, and associations.
This year, Tuesday, October 14 is Giving Tuesd-eh. A day to open your hearts to the many organizations that offer support to our community. Kindly make a donation on or before this date in support of the organization of your choice. Tourism Sun Peaks will be matching donations up to a pre-set maximum, so your donation will go even further!
Donations accepted from October 1 to 14, 2025. Stop by the Sunday October 12 Market Day to show your support!
This Thanksgiving, you can double your impact while giving back to the community we all love. From October 1–14, every dollar you donate to Adaptive Sports at Sun Peaks (ASSP) during our "Giving Tuesd-eh" Campaign, Tourism Sun Peaks will match your donation—up to a $12,000 total!
ASSP is a charitable, not-for-profit organization powered by volunteers. With over 55 passionate instructors last winter, we delivered nearly 450 weekly ski and snowboard lessons to students living with disabilities. Thanks to donor support, we reached a major milestone in 2023 by introducing our first-ever summer programs—and this past summer, we proudly expanded again by purchasing two adaptive mountain bikes that will launch our adaptive mountain biking program in 2026.
Because of generous donors like you, individuals living with physical, visual, and neuro-divergent challenges—whether from right here in Kamloops and Sun Peaks or from around the globe—can access life-changing outdoor adventures year-round.
Give today and Tourism Sun Peaks will match your donation, ensuring your generosity goes twice as far in creating an inclusive mountain community.
With appreciation,

Founded in 2010, the Sun Peaks Education Society (SPES) is dedicated to the promotion and delivery of flexible and diverse community based education in Sun Peaks. Through the generous support of the community, the schools in Sun Peaks have grown to support over 160 students enrolled in grades K-12.
The SPES also continues to fund and operate the Sun Peaks Secondary Academy for grade 10-12 students. Operating expenses include administrative (and some teaching) wages, classroom maintenance and supplies, insurance and enrichment activities to support curriculum provided by SD73's @KOOL program. The SPES also reserves a Capital Fund to support efforts to prepare for and help establish the brick and mortar k-12 school and community space that will be built in the future.
As our ski and snowboard programs grow more in-depth and comprehensive, so do the costs of delivering them. Your generous donation helps keep program fees accessible by covering coaching, facility costs, and coach development—ensuring our athletes receive the best training possible.
Our athletes proudly represent Sun Peaks at regional, provincial, and national competitions each season. With your support, they can continue to thrive, compete, and showcase the strength of our community.

Sun Peaks Historical Society is raising money for the Tod Mountain Herders Cabin restoration project. The cabin is Sun Peaks' oldest historical structure and built by a local cattle association in the late 1940s. This summer, Sun Peaks Historical Society was awarded $5000 from HeritageBC Legacy Fund. The money allowed SPHS to hire HeritageWorks, an international conservation company, to conduct a survey of the cabin and site. The Board is requesting funds for Directors Insurance. We are also asking to the community to donate funds for materials, labour and other expenses.

Established to promote and encourage participation in the sport of cross country skiing, the Nordic Club offers programs for junior skiers, special coaching for mature students, and social outings with tips provided.
The Sun Peaks Nordic Club started as a small club that has managed to gain momentum and attract children to this centuries old sport. With both classic and skate skiing available the club offers children a variety of learning techniques in this beautiful mountainous terrain.
The club must continuously raise funds in order to purchase new equipment for the children's program as well as to support coaches that volunteer coaching 40 children every Saturday through the winter. The club also offers coaching to adult members and hosts weekly ski challenges through the year, with a small prize offered for winners of the challenge.
The Sun Peaks Nordic Club continues to strive for skiing excellence and advocating for cross country skiing in the community .
Funds from this campaign will go towards youth enhancement.
The Sun Peaks School PAC is the voice of parents within our school community, working closely with teachers and staff to enhance the educational experience for every student. Beyond acting as a bridge between families and the school, we actively fundraise to provide opportunities that enrich student life both in and out of the classroom. Thanks to community support, we’ve been able to sponsor in-school programs like snowshoeing, Jess Dance, Avalanche Safety Training (AST-1), and team uniforms, while also hosting fun events that bring families together.
This year, our primary fundraising goal is to purchase a much-needed bike rack for our unique mountainside campus—supporting the active, outdoor lifestyle that defines Sun Peaks. Every dollar raised on Giving Tuesday will go even further, as Tourism Sun Peaks has generously committed to matching donations. Your contribution directly invests in the well-being, safety, and joy of local students—help us keep our school community thriving!
