Sun Peaks is pleased to have Artist Vaughn Warren in the resort creating a live wood carving for the community. Watch him slopeside at the Sundance Chairlift throughout the week. Carved out of locally sourced timber from the North Thompson Valley, Vaughn specializes in pole carvings and other large wood sculptures.
This piece will be displayed at the new Sun Peaks Centre after completion.
Vaughn has been working in the Arts and Culture field for over 20 years. After training in Vancouver, BC as a mural painter, graphic artist and working in the film industry, Vaughn returned to Kamloops to focus on his painting and carving.
