If you're looking for a relaxing afternoon to take in the beauty of Sun Peaks and the surrounding area, we suggest taking a ride on Sunburst chairlift on Tod Mountain.

A scenic 15 to 20 minute ride will take you up to mid-mountain at an elevation of 1,850 metres (6,069 feet). From here you can enjoy a leisurely stroll of the area and enjoy the patio at the Sunburst Lodge.

This area is also the trail head for the 13 designated, signed alpine hiking trails. For a casual walk, we recommend Vista Trail (#1 on the hiking trail map). It's a 1.3km flat loop that takes you past alpine wildflowers (when in season, mid-July to mid-August) and to a couple of viewpoints.
