Frequently Asked Questions

When is the scavenger hunt happening?

The scavenger hunt runs Friday to Sunday during Peaks Pedal Fest.

Please be mindful of truck shuttles heading up and down the Mt Morrisey road on Saturday and Sunday.

Where do I start?

The Pedal Access Trail Map is a great place to start! You will also find a physical copy of the map at Activities Desk from 10:00am to 5:00pm during the Peaks Pedal Fest weekend, take a photo of it for some extra assistance!

You will need a phone (with a charged battery) to participate!

How do I register to participate?

You don't need to register; each QR code asks for your email - this is how we will contact you if you win!

What can I win?

There are 2 grand prizes, courtesy of Patagonia!
We have a male-focused prize, and a female-focused prize. Choose which one you would like when you scan the QR codes (we recommend you stay consistent).

Do I have to scan all checkpoints to be eligible to win?

Nope! 1 checkpoint = 1 entry (no duplicate entries allowed).
Scan each checkpoint once across the weekend for a maximum of 25 entries.

When are THE winners announced?

After the event ends on Sunday evening, we’ll draw the lucky winners and contact them throughout the week via email.

I don’t have cell service / my phone didn’t work — what should I do?

Don't forget to take a selfie with the checkpoint and head to the Registration & Information Station tent at the base area (between the Sundance and Sunburst chairlifts) - our lovely volunteers will be able to assist you. Once you revive your phone and Wi-Fi capabilities, you can re-enter them before the cut-off time of 7:00pm on Sunday.

Can I play more than one day?

Yes! Feel free to participate each to gather all 25 checkpoints
The limit is one entry per checkpoint, per person across the weekend (no duplicate entries allowed).

What should I bring or wear?

Get on your bike or put on some sturdy and comfortable shoes, pack some water, your phone (with a charged battery), and maybe a snack*! Dress for the mountain weather; layers, sunglasses, headwear, and sunscreen are your friends. We recommend travelling in a group where possible.
*Do not litter. Please pack out whatever you pack in!
