But long before Brady Starr of Starr Trail Solutions and Sam Loxton of the Sun Peaks Recreational Trail Association began sketching blueprints for pedal-access trails on Mt. Morrisey, they had a different kind of flow in mind, one that pushed the riding experience to greater depths.

If flow is in the eye of the beholder, Ron Penney of Landmark Trail Works holds it to the highest standard. In a quest to strip away the self-imposed limits on our riding, Landmark offers a simple solution: a trail that teaches us to ease off the brakes and trust the shapes of the dirt.

Enhancing access to that flow is central to Jeff Cook’s vision as he leads the Lifetime Outdoor team in shaping dirt waves that invite riders of every style to discover and define their own rhythm. “Everything you want in a flow trail and a mountain bike park, you have it here in Sun Peaks now.”

Mountain biking in Sun Peaks takes on a whole new scope this summer, with trails delivering world-class riding across all three mountains for the first time. A $1.5-million joint investment from the resort and community will boost capacity and further diversify an already revered trail network.
