Real snow. Bright lights. Loud music. 

Hosted by the TRU Students' Union Out Here Ski & Board Club, this invitational rail jam transforms the campus into an urban playground for athletes. Rail Riot takes over the iconic Old Library staircase for a night of high-energy skiing, snowboarding and community spirit as athletes tackle a legendary handrail.

Rail Riot has something for everyone, and all ages are welcome. Spectating is free, with good vibes and awesome giveaways from sponsors like Red Bull and Sun Peaks Resort. Bring your friends or come solo to enjoy the action, meet new people and cheer on the athletes. The loudest fans win prizes!

“Rail Riot is more than an event – it's a tradition,” says founder Justin Tarasoff. “It’s the one night a year where TRU and Kamloops come together to kick off the ski and snowboard season in the most authentic way possible.”
