That’s a Wrap! Winter 2020-21 Photo Recap

We made it!

2020-21 was a season unlike any other. Despite plenty of hurdles thrown our way, we are proud to have successfully provided a safe and enjoyable ski season for those who were able to join us this winter.

The snow was flying right from the start, with all three mountains, over 100 runs, and our full Nordic network ready to go for opening day on November 21. The new Crystal quad chairlift also made its debut, giving skiers and riders more access to Top of the World. Regular snowfalls combined with the skill of our grooming team kept the slopes in fantastic condition all winter, before we sent off the season with plenty of sunny spring skiing until our scheduled closing date of April 5.

This winter left us truly grateful for the chance to escape provided by the mountains, as well as the simple joy that sliding on snow can bring during difficult times. We’ve put together a photo recap of some of our favourite memories from this season to help relive the fun:

As we look back at the season, we want to express the gratitude we have to so many for helping to make this winter possible. To start, we thank each and every one of our staff members. Your hard work, sacrifice, and diligence in following and enforcing our COVID-19 procedures was crucial to keep the resort operating. We couldn’t have done it without such a strong team and we thank you all for another amazing winter here at Sun Peaks Resort. This extends to owners and staff in businesses throughout the village as well, who all did their part to help us make the most of this season.

A big thank you also to all of the season pass holders, guests, and local residents who joined us on the slopes this winter. Your willingness to mask up and follow our COVID-19 guidelines enabled us to provide a safe environment for you to get outdoors, and we hope you enjoyed the opportunity to have some fun during a tough year. We’ll see you again in the summer or once the snow returns.

Finally, to those further afield who were unable to join us this winter, thank you for choosing not to travel to help keep everyone safe. We missed you and look forward to brighter days in the future when we can welcome you back to Sun Peaks again.

If these photos have you dreaming about next ski season already, remember to lock in your 2021-22 season pass before April 30 to get the best price of the year. Both Alpine and Nordic Season Passes are on sale now in our online store. If summer is more your style, stay tuned! Full details about the 2021 bike, hike, and golf seasons will be released in May, along with summer pass sales.

See you again soon!
