Torchlight Parade

Light UP the night

Celebrate the New Year with this once-a-year phenomenon. Participants age 16 and up will light up the slopes in red while skiing or riding with nothing but the moonlight and lit torches!

RULES AND REGULATIONS

• Participants must be able to ski or ride blue and black terrain in the dark with confidence and be able to ride uneven terrain comfortably.
• The minimum age to participate is 16 years.
• Old, dark coloured, and warm clothing advised (your clothing may become singed or get wax on it).
• No ski poles.
• Headtorch advised for getting off the lift at the top, (this must be switched off once torches are lit).
• Helmets mandatory.
• We ask participants to refrain from being intoxicated before the parade. Anyone visibly intoxicated at registration, at loading-time, or at the top of Sundance, may forfeit their chance to participate. 

*We reserve the right to remove participants from the parade for any reason.

Registration

• There is a maximum of 200 spots available.
• Participants must have a valid lift ticket for December 31, 2025.
• Pre-Registration will open midday on December 23, 2025 and will close once full. Spaces are limited; mark your calendars to pre-register.
• All pre-registered participants must check in, in person, with ID at Guest Services to collect their wristbands between 1:00pm and 4:00pm, December 31, 2025. No exceptions.  

• Last-minute registration may be awarded to participants on a first-come, first-served basis dependent on availability from no-shows from 4:00pm to 5:00pm.

  Event registration does not include a lift ticket.
