Power Cart Regulations
To help maintain excellent playing conditions for all guests:
A rain check may be issued if management deems the golf course unplayable due to extreme weather or other conditions, following a reasonable delay in play.
Conduct
Golfer Compliance
Golfers are responsible for their actions and conduct on the course, including the flight of their ball. Injury and risk are inherent in the game. Sun Peaks Resort LLP and its golf course assume no liability for inherent hazards.
Any damage or injury must be reported immediately to the affected parties and the pro shop. Matters will be handled in accordance with Canadian law. The Resort may assist or pursue action where necessary.
All Sun Peaks passes are sold subject to the Sun Peaks Release Agreement. This Release Agreement is between the Pass Holder and Sun Peaks Resort LLP and its directors, officers, employees, instructors, guides, agents, representatives, volunteers, independent contractors, subcontractors, sponsors, successors, assigns and special events organizers, promoters, sponsors and advertisers. It includes a release of liability, waiver of claims and indemnity agreement.
This release agreement is provided in full at the time of pass purchase and must be read and signed by all individuals. A parent or guardian will be required to sign the release agreement for those under the age of 19.
Did you know the Sun Peaks Golf course is a licensed facility? We know you may want to partake in some beverages while enjoying your round. This policy is in place to control not prohibit consumption. Our goal is to ensure a comfortable experience by all patrons and reduce the risks of alcohol related harm such as, over consumption, impaired driving, violence, and legal liability.
This policy is required to maintain our liquor licensing, and it is mandatory that all players abide by this policy.

Outside alcohol is not permitted on the golf course property.
Outside alcohol is defined as any liquor (including beer) not purchased from Sun Peaks Golf Course. All alcoholic beverages consumed on the golf course must be purchased from the following licensed outlets: 1st Hole Kiosk or Umbrella Café. A variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options are available.
Personal coolers (or any type of food or beverage storage device) are not permitted on the course.
Golf carts are provided with a cooler and ice for your convenience. Sun Peaks staff are permitted*, under our liquor license, to search coolers and/or golf bags for illicit alcohol.
*This right will be used as a last resort, and only after non-compliance has been confirmed through other means. The guest has the right to refuse this search, the result of which will be immediate removal from the course. Failure to comply with these regulations will result in player removal from the course and property. No refunds will be issued.
No person shall consume alcoholic beverages to the point of impairment or intoxication.
This policy is required to maintain our liquor license.
The terms of Sun Peaks’ liquor license require our management and staff to be diligent in preventing the consumption of outside alcohol. Failure to abide by the rules may result in substantial fines levied against the ownership, management, and staff members, as well as the suspension or removal of the liquor license.
The BC Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch (LCRB) provide strict rules for liquor sale and service on golf courses and monitor courses closely. Under these regulations, the golf course is required to limit the quantity of alcohol it will sell to individuals, to help prevent over consumption on or adjacent to the course.
The intent of this policy is to control, not prohibit, consumption. The goal of these control measures is to reduce the risks of alcohol related harm such as, over consumption, impaired driving, violence, and legal liability.
