Late Season Blooms Start to Arrive

We’re starting to see the transition of early and mid-season wildflowers to late-season bloomers, highlighted by the arrival of Fireweed, a brilliantly pink flower that is blanketing many areas. You can browse our full flora guide here. Mid-season wildflowers, such as arctic lupines and paintbrush are still around, just not as predominant as they were earlier in July.
For the best wildflower viewing where you’re likely to see the most varieties together and in abundance, we recommend the west facing area of the trail network, such as Dr. Feelgood, West Bowl and Whyte Bowl. The peak of blooming season typically begins early to mid-July and lasts a few weeks.

Take your game to new heights, literally. Sun Peaks is home to a disc golf course located at the top of the Sunburst Express chairlift. Access is included with a lift ticket or season pass, and once you're there, it's free to play. Winding through forested fairways and natural alpine terrain at 1,844 metres, this hidden gem offers a fun challenge for all skill levels.
