Sun Peaks wins gold for the 2026 Snomad Ski Resort Awards!
Sun Peaks Resort is thrilled to have received six awards for the 2026 Snomad Ski Resort Awards, winning gold in two categories!
- Gold - Best Overall Ski Resort in North America
- Gold - Best Ski Resort for Intermediates in North America
Recognising excellence in skiing and snowboarding, the Snomad Ski Resort Awards are based on 153,854 ratings from real skiers and snowboarders worldwide, submitted over the 2025-26 ski season. The awards recognize resorts delivering truly exceptional experiences, as judged by the global skiing community who have explored the resorts themselves.
Every resort receives a rating out of five for each category, and we’re pleased to have scored 4.52/5 for the Overall Rating and 4.46/5 for Intermediates.
Alongside our gold placements, Sun Peaks has also won the following silver and bronze awards:
- Silver - Best Groomed Runs in North America (4.67/5 rating)
- Silver - Best Accommodation in North America (4.61/5 rating)
- Bronze - Best Value in North America (4.50/5 rating)
- Bronze - Best Resort for Snowboarders in North America (4.48/5 rating)

As Canada’s second largest ski area, Sun Peaks offers over 4,400 acres of skiable terrain with plenty of space to explore and great options for families and intermediate skiers or boarders.
Guests also praise our relaxed village atmosphere and ski-in, ski-out accommodation options. With all three of our mountain peaks easily accessible from the central Sun Peaks village, getting onto the slopes each morning is incredibly easy and there are plenty of great options for après throughout the day.
