On Thursday and Friday nights, the Sun Peaks Film Festival journey with us to mountains near and far. Experience breathtaking landscapes, adrenaline-filled adventures, and inspiring personal stories from athletes, explorers, and environmental champions. From backcountry skiing and snowboarding to mountain biking, climbing, and innovative outdoor art, these films capture the thrill, challenge, and beauty of life in the mountains. Expect stories of resilience, creativity, and connection that will leave you inspired and exhilarated.
With the VIMFF tour making a stop in Sun Peaks, our community will have the chance to experience some of the world’s best mountain films. We’ll travel all over the world to experience mountain life and thrilling adventures!
New this year, Saturday, January 17, we’re celebrating the creativity within our own community. Our Locals Night features two exciting categories: the traditional short film showcase (2 to 15 minutes) and the brand-new 60-second Shredit. Whether you’re a seasoned filmmaker or trying something new, this is your chance to shine on the big screen. After the screenings, stick around for a lively afterparty to celebrate the winners and share the love of filmmaking!
