Join local celebrated artists in an art workshop while the alpine blossoms are in full bloom. Choose between Liz Derksen's Wildflower and Alpine Sketching OR Bill Fell's leading Wildflower Photography.
Join Bill for a guided alpine walk and open air workshop on wildflower photography. Session topics include depth of field, contrast, simple fill and diffuse lighting, techniques and composition. No previous experience necessary.
Equipment Required: DSLR camera that can be set in modes other than auto (most notably program and aperature priority). A tripod that can be adjusted to flower height is strongly recommended.
Join Liz in an easygoing alpine hike, stopping at various scenic locations to sketch wildflowers, expansive views, characterful trees or other features that interest you. Time permitting, participants may also paint their sketches or have a few lovely sketches to take home and paint later! No previous experience necessary.
Equipment Required: Small container of coloured "Sharpie" markers (ultra fine or fine point); sketchbook or paper on clipboard (multimedium paper); inexpensive watercolour set with small brush; watercolour pencil crayons (optional); small resealable container of water.
Suitable hiking shoes or boots, bag lunch, water, bug spray, hat, sunscreen

Non members: $20.00 (cash only, payable at event)
NOTE: Workshop does not include a lift ticket. Participants must purchase a Sunburst chairlift ticket prior to meeting time.
