Painting Winter Landscapes Workshop with David Langevin

Hosted by Kamloops-based artist David Langevin, this one day workshop will spend the day working on painting winter landscapes. Snow scenes can be challenging, and exciting if you can get them right. We will use the techniques David is well known for (glazes, veils, and layering techniques), and that he teaches in his workshop to create one of these paintings. David will do lots of demonstrating and coaching along the way. It will be a fun and exciting experience and you will learn a lot that you can apply to your own art, no matter your style.

Supplies list needed:

• acrylic paint, heavy body and fluid if you have it
• brushes, rags, water container, palette
• two medium-sized canvases or canvas boards, approximately 16x20
• gloss medium, or Golden GAC 500
• If you have it: Retarder or Golden Glazing Liquid*
