Supporting post-exercise recovery and relief

Discover how your body is deeply interconnected through fascia and learn practical techniques to release tension, improve mobility, and support recovery from training and daily movement.

This workshop combines Yin Yoga and Ball Therapy to help you build greater body awareness, identify areas of restriction, and recognize your body’s limits before tension becomes discomfort. Through guided fascial release techniques and a full-body practice, you’ll leave feeling more open, grounded, and restored.

The session begins with an educational segment and guided learning introduction to fascia and tensegrity, followed by an accessible full-body release practice suitable for all experience levels. While the work can be intense at times, it is gentle rather than rigorous and designed to support all abilities.

Meet Kayla

I have been practicing yoga since I was a young snowboarder, just trying to improve flexibility and balance for tricks on the mountain. A severe concussion and subsequent brain surgery led me back to yoga in a far more important way. In a time when I felt nothing was certain, yoga helped me find a way back to myself and the things I love hiking, biking, and snowboarding with my family. I have since made it my mission to help others the way my yoga teachers helped me.

I am an E-RYT 500 and just a few practicum hours away from writing my exam to become a Registered Yoga Therapist. My superpower is making folks feel at home and included in almost any situation. I am most proud of how far I have come from being a nervous new teacher 8 years ago to now feeling completely confident that I am able to use the teachings of yoga to help positively impact anyone who attends my classes. I constantly learn and seek to improve my skills as a teacher to serve my amazing community better.

I am beyond thrilled to lead workshops and events this weekend with my good friend Meghan, who began this incredible journey of teaching yoga with me when we first opened the Sun Peaks Yoga studio. She is the Yang to my Yin. Together we are a delightful blend of power, courage, peace, kindness and everything you need for a weekend of wellness in the mountains.
