New RFID Mountain Card Design Mock Up

New Mountain Card Artwork

Earlier this year we partnered with ArtZone Sun Peaks to find a new piece of artwork for our RFID Mountain Cards. A call for local artists to create a design was sent out and we received plenty of amazing submissions to choose from. Patricia House's beautiful painting 'Last Run' was the winning selection.

Keep an eye out for the new Mountain Cards, which will be ready in early 2023.

Additional Evening Terrain for Little Shredders

Like last year, the learning slopes around the Village Platter will be open under lights until 7:00pm daily this winter. New for this season, additional lights have been installed on Gentle Giant. This adds an extra run, alongside Sunbeam and the Platter Terrain Park, where young shredders or beginners can practice their turns in the evening.

Even more world-class grooming

Sun Peaks continues to boost our fleet of low emission grooming machines with the addition of two new, state-of-the-art Pisten Bully groomers this year. New grooming cats combined with extensive brush cutting over the summer means smooth turns for skiers and riders all season long.

We’ve also added to our snowmaking capabilities, with the purchase of six new snowmaking guns to ensure we continue to offer quality skiing conditions right from the start of the season.

Keep an eye on our grooming efforts each day via the Lift & Trail Status page.
