Sun Peaks wants YOU!

The Sun Peaks Resort LLP team is looking for capable and energized individuals to join our passionate team of volunteers and help execute our busy calendar. 

So why volunteer?

How does free skiing sound? That’s right, as a reward for helping us out and giving your time, we’ll provide you with the means to ski for free! More of a summer person? Free biking or hiking is up for grabs too. 

Volunteering is a great way to give back to the Sun Peaks community and be a part of fun events, get out on the mountain in the fresh air, and gain (or lend!) valuable experience in the events and tourism industry. 

Event Volunteers

Volunteer Perks

Full-time Volunteers:

To be considered a full-time volunteer, you must commit a minimum of 100 hours throughout the season. 
You may complete the relevant job application on the Job Opportunities page, and dependent on experience, suitability, and availability, you may be invited for an interview with a member of the events team. 

  • Alpine and Nordic Season Pass
  • Five (5) Buddy Passes (25% off day rate)
  • Discounts in SPR retail outlets
  • Discounts in SPR food and beverage outlets
  • Discounts on ski and snowboard lessons
  • Discounts on ski and snowboard rentals

Part-time Volunteers:

Receive one (1) complimentary Alpine Ticket per volunteer shift worked. 
Each Alpine Ticket equals;

  • One (1) winter pass (for ski or board), OR
  • One (1) summer bike pass, OR 
  • Two (2) hiking day passes

Blackout dates apply. These are usually Christmas & New Year, and Family Weekend.

criteria for volunteers

All volunteers must:

  • Be a competent skier or snowboarder (for winter events)
  • Wear a helmet at all times when skiing, snowboarding, or on the chairlift, while volunteering
  • Be able to lift 40lbs
  • Be 16 years or older for on-mountain volunteer activities. Exceptions may be made for off-mountain activities on a case-by-case basis.

Full-time volunteers must also:

  • Commit a minimum of 100 hours throughout the season. 
  • Failure to meet this requirement may result in termination of full-time volunteer perks.

Full-time Volunteers: 

To be considered a full-time volunteer, you must commit a minimum of 100 hours throughout the season.

  • Alpine and Nordic Season Pass
  • Discounts in SPR retail outlets
  • Discounts in SPR food and beverage outlet

Part-time Volunteers:

  • Receive one (1) complimentary Alpine day pass, one (1) Bike Park day pass, OR two (2) Hiking day passes for each day of volunteering. Blackout dates apply.

  • Be a competent skier or snowboarder
  • Wear a helmet at all times when skiing, snowboarding, or on the chairlift, while volunteering
  • Be able to lift 40lbs
  • Be 18 years or older
