A slow-speed bike competition where balance is everything

The Foot Down Derby is a crowd-favourite cycling challenge at Peaks Pedal Fest in Sun Peaks, B.C., where riders test their balance, strategy and nerves.

Pedal-powered mind games and enough tight turns to make your spokes dizzy. The rules are simple: whatever you do, don’t put your foot down.

All bike enthusiasts are welcome to join, with a Kids’ Derby and an Open Derby (11+), so everyone—from first-timers to seasoned riders—can take their shot.

Tell your crew, pump those tires and—whatever you do—don’t put your foot down.
