Understanding Bike Park Signage

Bike park signage guide showing trail types and difficulty levels with color codes.

All routes within the Bike Park are designated by colour-coded trail markers at the start of each descent. Trails with an orange oval indicate freeride trails with man-made features and may require jumping skills.

Our Trail Progression Chart ranks all of the trails in the Bike Park by difficulty level, helping you to decide which trail you should attempt next.

Progression Park Our Progression Park skills zone is accessible via the Bike Park carpet lifts and features ten trails suited to a range of ability levels. Ride mini berms, multiple jump lines, a drop zone, pump track, wooden features, a wall ride, rock slab and more. It’s a safe and progressive environment to practise, build confidence and develop your skills.
Easy Wind After mastering the Progression Park, Easy Wind is the introductory trail for chairlift access riding. Low berms, smooth rollers, and panoramic views are all features of this top-to-bottom trail.
Level Up Level Up offers a fantastic top-to-bottom route back to the village. Perfect for new DH riders and families, as well as cross-country riders coming off West Bowl (XC) and Big Rock Ride (XC). Don't let the easy rating put you off, this trail is flowy fun for beginners right through to advanced riders (who will enjoy the views and sneaky doubles). Level Up finishes in the Progression Park.
Lever Lovers This trail is similar to Switcheroo, but with more technical sections.
Mo' Riders Mo’ Riders is a machine-built cross-country trail that connects the lift-access bike park trails to the pedal-access Morrisey (SPRTA) trail network. Designed as a connector, it allows riders to traverse from the top of Sunburst via Dr. Feelgood to Big Rock Ride, ascend to the top of Sundance, descend Easy Wind, and link up with the Morrisey trails. It also provides an opportunity to complete a loop across all three peaks. Mo’ Riders is a low-angle, one-way trail intended for travel from Sundance to Morrisey.
Morning Dew A low-grade, wide and mellow beginner connector trail providing access to the lower section of Level Up and other Tod Mountain trails.
Switcheroo Previously called Smooth Smoothie, this is a wide and gentle top-to-bottom trail to tackle once you have gained some comfort on Level Up. You'll come across many switchbacks and roll-able features all the way down.
Barn Burner This intermediate machine-made trail offers a bit of everything, mixing big berms with rocky sections, fully pinned fall-line terrain, a step-up and a step-down. Be sure to carry speed into the final berm, which stands over six feet tall.
Bermalade This machine-built flow trail is a fun-loving roller coaster packed with smooth, flowing berms, rollers, jumps and natural rock features.
Big Rock Ride (XC) 2.1km, one way – Big Rock Ride provides a fun cross-country mountain bike descent through sub-alpine forests, before joining double track that loops back into the Bike Park or down to the village.
Canada Line This jump line is jam-packed with berms, tables, rock jibs, a wall ride and other features sculpted to perfection. Long, fast and feature-packed from top to bottom, it keeps the fun going all the way down.
Dr. Feelgood (XC) 9.96km, one way – This is a multi-use trail so you must yield to hikers and ride in control at all times. Due to the higher elevation snow or mud may be encountered, please use caution and consideration when crossing muddy sections.
Electric Avenue (XC) 4.6km, one way – New for Summer 2026, Electric Avenue is a bonus XC singletrack fork off Big Rock Ride, offering an alternate pedal route from the reservoir to the top of Sundance. Perfect for “burning the rest of your battery” after a lap on Dr. Feelgood.
Gummy Bear A winding singletrack trail packed with roots, rocks, short climbs and steep descents. It’s a great introduction to the technical terrain Sun Peaks is known for while helping riders build confidence and develop their skills.
Holy Rollers Pin it down this super fast and flowing trail with plenty of rollers and a couple of small creek gaps.
Melhouse Melhouse is a blue-rated, hand-built technical singletrack trail. It offers a flowy ride with bermed corners that wind through the Three Bears glades. Starting at the top of Sundance, it links into Might as Well and finishes at Old Homesteader Road. As the most accessible technical trail in the Bike Park, Melhouse is a great introduction to tech riding.
Might As Well Step into intermediate freeride riding with open sightlines, smaller berms and low jumps that offer an introduction to airtime. Aptly named for riders ready to progress beyond beginner trails, you ‘Might As Well’ give this intermediate route a try!
Resurrection A fast rolling, flowing singletrack with moderate grade. Features a natural trail surface with a couple of jumps along the way.
Root Dog Root Dog is a narrow, low-grade technical trail that winds through the trees, serving up plenty of roots and janky terrain along the way.
Route 66 This flowy machine made trail is packed with berms and is suitable for a wide variety of abilities.
Shark Finale Shark Finale is a re-build of the former black dual slalom course alongside Broadway, transformed into a blue jump trail offering a fun alternative to Flow Zone and Canada Line. Accessed via Steam Shovel or Canada Line, the trail feeds back into Resurrection and features mellow shark fins, playful jumps and sweeping berms.
Sour Patch Skids A machine-built trail with smaller berms and short technical features that serves as a great introduction to blue tech riding.
Spicy Taco Hang a right off Lower Barn Burner for a relatively steep descent into fun, technical singletrack through the trees and down to 5 Mile Road.
Stella Blue Loaded with creative features, Stella Blue is designed to progress intermediate riders from trails like Canada Line and Bermalade to Steam Shovel and Super Nugget. Slashy and playful from top to bottom, it features berms, tabletops, step-ups and step-downs, a fadeaway and a section that rides like a pump track. A must-ride when visiting Sun Peaks.
Sweater Vest Feel the flow with swoopy berms through a gully and some fun rollers.
West Bowl (XC) 5.4km, one way – Formerly named Altitude, this advanced-intermediate trail challenges riders with technical rock and root sections, as well as short, sharp climbs. The rewards—flowy turns through alpine wildflower meadows and a rest at beautiful Tod Lake—are well worth it. This is a multi-use trail, so you must yield to hikers and ride in control at all times. Due to the higher elevation, snow or mud may be encountered. Please use caution and consideration when crossing muddy sections.
Arm Pump Fun singletrack that rides really fast and flowy with a few technical sections that will test your bike handling skills.
Bad Habit Bad Habit is an introduction to advanced jump trails and the next step in freeride progression after Stella Blue. Expect a similar riding feel with larger features, including jumps, tables and berms.
Behind Bars Behind Bars is a rooty technical trail featuring intermediate wooden features, plenty of cornering and off-camber sidehill sections.

Cat Trax A reasonably technical trail through the trees featuring a chunky rock garden and tons of roots.
Hi Octane Hi Octane is a braid of trail that can be accessed from the top of Sunburst, DH or Barn Burner. This trail is technical singletrack with rock and root sections.
Kaboom Technical singletrack packed with rock faces, drops and steep sections of loose shale. Built with DH bikes in mind, this one delivers a raw, challenging ride.
Keener A short, straight and fast singletrack trail connecting Gnar-Boom to Steam Shovel.
Mach A great singletrack trail to step up your riding, and learn how to ride steep sections.
Repeat Offender This machine made freeride trail is packed with relatively large doubles and big ol' berms to keep your speed up for hit after hit.
Steam Shovel Upper Our signature advanced machine made trail for those who like to send it. Features step ups, step downs, tables, transfers, rock jibs and berms.
Sugar Trail Update: Sugar and Sweet One will have rolling closures over the next month while the trail crew replaces bridges.

Low grade technical singletrack with short steep sections, roots, and plenty of wood. An epic ride paired with Sweet One.
Super Nugget A true black freeride trail that will give you plenty of air time as you whoop and holler working your way through the multiple line options and a ton of jumps from top to bottom. It's fast, flowy and built to ride at trail speed.

Singletrack loaded with wooden jumps and bridges over creeks. Look before you leap, it'll take you a few laps to master.
Creeper This section drops off Steam Shovel and reconnects later down on the run. Creeper is a super technical singletrack trail side cut into the mountain.
DH This trail begins with a full throttle descent with moderate rock drops. The trail then becomes singletrack. The final section of the trail is fast and flowing berms.
