Program Overview
Sun Peaks Resort is excited to continue the Sun Peaks Ambassador Team for the 2025–26 winter season. The program supports local athletes and community members, celebrates their achievements, and builds a team that helps us share Sun Peaks with the world.
There are 10 spots available for this winter, split between two streams: the Athlete Stream (four spots) and the Ambassador Stream (six spots).
Athlete Stream
The Athlete Stream is designed for local athletes competing at the provincial, national, or international level who use Sun Peaks as their training base. Successful applicants in this stream receive financial support to help them reach their goals.
Ambassador Stream
The Ambassador Stream is ideal for local residents who love to explore the mountains outside of competition. It’s a great fit for local riders, photographers, filmmakers, artists, and other creative individuals who want to share their stoke for their home resort.

Eligibility Requirements
ATHLETE STREAM
- Be a resident of Sun Peaks, Kamloops, or nearby communities
- Be actively competing or registered to compete at a provincial, national, or international level in skiing, snowboarding, adaptive snow sports, or Nordic skiing during the 2025-26 winter season
- Be 16 or older as of December 31, 2025
AMBASSADOR STREAM
- Be a resident of Sun Peaks, Kamloops, or nearby communities
- Be a keen and active participant in skiing, snowboarding, adaptive snow sports, or Nordic skiing
- Be 16 or older as of December 31, 2025

What We Get From You
ATHLETE STREAM
You will:
- List Sun Peaks Resort as a sponsor on website bios, athlete profiles, social media accounts and posts, competition entries, and other applicable areas
- Be available to participate in up to four days (32 hours) of Sun Peaks Resort led photoshoots, Sun Peaks Resort led video filming, hosting of visiting athletes/media/production crews, or a combination of these activities throughout the 2025-26 winter season
- Agree to be featured on the Ambassador Team webpage on SunPeaksResort.com. Team features will include a photo and short bio
- Agree to wear a helmet while participating in all Sun Peaks Resort led photo and video projects
- Acknowledge that while participating in competitions, events, photo and video projects, or during general skiing/riding as a Sun Peaks Resort sponsored athlete, you are a representative of Sun Peaks Resort and agree to act in a manner that reflects positively on our organization
AMBASSADOR STREAM
You will:
- Be available to participate in up to two days (16 hours) of Sun Peaks Resort led photoshoots, Sun Peaks Resort led video filming, hosting of visiting athletes/media/production crews, or a combination of these activities throughout the 2025-26 winter season
- Agree to be featured on the Ambassador Team webpage on SunPeaksResort.com. Team features will include a photo and short bio
- Agree to wear a helmet while participating in all Sun Peaks Resort led photo and video projects
- Acknowledge that while participating in photo and video projects, events, or during general skiing/riding as a Sun Peaks Resort ambassador, you are a representative of Sun Peaks Resort and agree to act in a manner that reflects positively on our organization
FAQs
When do I find out if I made the team?
The deadline for applications is midnight on Sunday, November 9, 2025. Team selection will be finalized by Thursday, November 13, 2025. Successful candidates will be notified by email and sent a written agreement to sign to confirm their participation in the program. The selected members of the Sun Peaks Ambassador Team for Winter 2025-26 will be publicly announced shortly after.
Is there an age limit?
Yes, applicants must be 16 years or older as of December 31, 2025, to be eligible for selection into the Ambassador Team program. Parental consent is required for participants under 19.
Can I Apply For Both Streams?
Yes. If you meet the criteria for both streams and are interested in being selected for either one, you can apply to them both. If you are unsuccessful for one stream we will then consider you for the other (e.g. if you are not selected for the Athlete stream we will also consider you for an Ambassador stream position).
What is the selection criteria for applicants?
Applicants must meet the minimum requirements outlined above to be eligible for the program. Once these initial requirements are met, the following criteria will be considered when deciding which applicants are selected for the program:
- Ability to fulfill the requirements of the program during the upcoming winter season
- Athletic achievements
- Current competitive level (i.e. provincial, national, or international)
- Experience working on photo/video shoots
- Previous working relationship with Sun Peaks Resort LLP
- Social media account size and/or content creation capabilities
The Sun Peaks Ambassador Team program is overseen by the Sun Peaks Resort Marketing & Communications department.
Can Sun Peaks Resort Staff apply?
Seasonal staff of Sun Peaks Resort LLP and/or The Sun Peaks Grand Hotel are eligible to participate in the Ambassador Team program.
Permanent staff of Sun Peaks Resort LLP and/or The Sun Peaks Grand Hotel are not eligible to participate in the program.
Will There Be A 2026 Summer Ambassador Team?
Yes, the Sun Peaks Ambassador Team program will return for the 2026 summer season. Stay tuned for more information in spring 2026.
I was on the Winter 2024-25 Ambassador Team. can I apply again this season?
Yes, 2024-25 winter Ambassador Team members are eligible to apply for the 2025-26 team if they still meet the eligibility requirements.
