British Columbia vaccine card

Effective September 13, 2021, by order of the Provincial Health Officer, proof of partial or full vaccination is required to access certain events, services, and businesses.

Beginning October 24, guests must be fully vaccinated to access some facilities, events, and businesses (pending an update from the Province of British Columbia). This requirement is in place until January 31, 2022, with the possibility of extension.

Using Your BC Vaccine Card at sun peaks resort

By order of the Provincial Health Officer, proof of vaccination is required to access the following services at Sun Peaks Resort: 

  • Licensed restaurants and cafes and restaurants and cafes that offer table service (indoor and patio dining).
  • Pubs, bars and lounges (indoor and patio dining).
  • Indoor organized events with more than 50 people.

Guests will be asked to provide their BC Vaccine Card and government photo ID upon entry to applicable businesses and events.

Guests visiting from out-of-province

Guests visiting from other provinces or territories of Canada must show their provincially/territorially officially recognized vaccine record and valid government photo ID.

International guests can use the ArriveCan app as proof of vaccination along with a valid passport.

There will be a limited amount of tickets available for sale each day to manage guest numbers, overall guest experience, and to ensure safety protocols are followed. Tickets should be purchased online in advance to guarantee access. Window ticket sales may not be available in resort.

Sun Peaks Resort is committed to ensuring the health and safety of our guests, staff and local residents. In an effort to provide a safe recreational experience we have implemented new measures and protocols throughout the Resort.

For the health and safety of fellow guests and staff, please do not visit:

  1. If you are showing symptoms of COVID-19. For symptom details visit BC Centre for Disease Control.
  2. If you have travelled outside of Canada and returned within the last 14 days. You are not be permitted to visit until you have self-isolated for 14 days. 
  3. If you live in a household with someone who has COVID-19, or have been exposed to someone sick/infected with COVID-19.

While visiting Sun Peaks Resort and our facilities please:

  • Follow physical distancing guidelines of 2 metres (6 feet)
  • Follow limited occupancy signage posted on storefronts
  • Follow direction from staff (if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask)
  • Use tap payment when possible

If you are unable to follow the guidelines and protocols, you will be asked to leave the premises.

Lift Lines and Chairlifts

Guests are asked to follow the direction of physical distancing signage while in lift lines and ride with those you came with.

Lift Lines - Face Coverings Are Recommended

Face coverings are recommended in all lift lines and while riding lifts. 

Riding the Chairlift

Guests who are travelling, hiking or biking together can be seated together on chairlifts. To ensure the safety of all guests and staff, groups of guests will not be seated with people outside of their bubble. Two unrelated singles may ride lifts together, sitting on opposite sides of the quad chairlift. However, singles will not be required to ride with another guest if they are not comfortable and would prefer to ride alone.

We ask all guests to avoid congregating in large groups outside of lift lines, or in lift unloading areas, and take advantage of our wide-open spaces to enjoy safely!

The Golf Course at Sun Peaks Resort 

Please review the following COVID-19 Best Practices for the Golf Course. Players are required to follow these guidelines:


  • Tee times are 10 minutes apart.
  • Booking in advance is required and can be made online or over the phone.
  • An email address, phone number and credit card will be required to book.
  • On-going cleaning and disinfecting measures in place for common touch points; power carts, clubs, handles, credit card machines, countertops, pens, etc.
  • A variety of cleaning products will be used including commercial grade disinfectant, and alcohol based.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available in the pro shop and facilities.


  • Pro Shop: Please follow any direction from staff
    • Face masks are mandatory when indoors at all times.
    • Maximum of 8 guests in the Pro Shop at a time.
    • Use hand sanitizer before entry.
    • No refunds or exchanges will be issued.
  • The Driving Range is closed, we apologize for any inconvenience
  • Washrooms: Village Day Lodge (for opening) and the Umbrella Café after Hole #10.
  • Food & Beverage: Café Soleil before your round. Masa’s Clubhouse for off-sales after 11:00am. On course call ahead from Hole #9 to the Umbrella Café 250.578.3652, located after Hole #10.


  • Confirm the Pro Shop is not at maximum occupancy before entering and sanitize hands.
  • Maintain physical distancing of 2 metres/6 feet at all times on and off the course.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available. We recommend you bring your own hand sanitizer and wipes for peace of mind.


  • Only touch/handle your own equipment (clubs, balls, gloves, carts). 
  • Do not touch flagstick. Arrangements have been made for easy ball retrieval.
  • Do not congregate on tee decks and greens.
  • Practice continuous putting until the ball is holed.
  • Instead of handshakes/high fives, try a bow or happy dance. Get creative!


  • Return cart to designated area. Please remove all garbage and personal belongings. Garbage/recycling bins will be provided.


Face masks are mandatory when moving through all dining establishments, both indoors, on patios, and when accessing washroom facilities. Guests may remove face masks when seated with their party. Guests are asked to follow these additional guidelines when visiting Sun Peaks Resort dining establishments.

Specific information regarding rental facilities can be found below, otherwise guests should follow the instructions from signage and staff at all retail locations.

Elevation Bike, Ski & Board

Rental reservations are available online, with rider specific information collected, required waivers completed, and all payment information collected through the online booking process. 

Rental and retail space at Elevation Bike, Ski & Board has been separated, to reduce congestion and improve the flow of guests in both the retail shop and the rental area. The rental area will service one group or family at a time, with no exceptions. 

Fall line tuning and repair centre

Booking a Service

  • Appointments can be made by calling Fall Line directly at 250.578.5580.
  • Due to high demand, turn around time for services and repairs may be longer than normal.

Bike Parts, Tools & Accessories from Fall Line

Due to potential part shortages, limits may be in place on select bicycle parts. These restrictions are subject to change as we assess our inventory requirements for the summer. Thank you for your understanding.

Sports School

The Sun Peaks Sports School is offering a variety of lessons, camps and tours for guests ages 10 and older this season.


Guests are encouraged to book lessons, camps and tours by email or by phone at 250.578.5505, with as much notice as possible.

Lessons will have capacity restrictions to ensure the safety of participants and instructors. Private and group lessons are available for 10 years and older.


Please arrive at the meeting area in advance of your lesson time. Bike lessons and hike tours will meet at the Rendezvous Hut, slopeside of the Village Day Lodge near the base of Sunburst Express. All participants will be required to follow applicable resort guidelines. 

Please do not arrive for your lesson if you are feeling unwell or have been in contact with someone confirmed COVID-19 positive within the last 14 days. If you become unwell between booking and the day of your lesson, please call 250.578.5505 to cancel your reservation.

Please ensure all equipment is in working order prior to arrival, as instructors will have limited contact with the equipment of lesson participants.


Per physical distancing requirements, instructors will be maintaining two (2) metres of space between themselves and participants when stationary during lessons. That space will increase to more than five (5) metres when biking or hiking.

Instructors will carry hand sanitizer, and provide any updated or lesson specific information at the start of your lesson.


We ask all lesson participants to be capable of loading and riding the Sunburst Express high-speed detachable quad chairlift. Anyone under 1.35 metres in height will be assigned an accompanying person to load and ride with. Lesson participants may load in groups, as long as the others on the chair are within their bubble.
