Back by popular demand! Join us for an exhilarating bike event to Sun Peaks - the Junior DH biking event. Now with the addition of a 14 to 16 year old age category. This year's championship-style competition is designed for young bike enthusiasts aged 16 and under, offering them a thrilling opportunity to experience the world of downhill racing. It's the perfect stepping stone for aspiring riders to hone their skills before venturing into the big leagues. 

All participants will receive a race plate to keep, and winners will receive a Sun Peaks keepsake.

DETAILS

Date: August 29 to 30, 2025
Check-in/Plate Pick-up: August 29, 10:00am to 1:00pm or August 30, 10:00am to 11:00am, at the base area between the Sundance and Sunburst lifts
Riders Meeting: August 30, 1:00pm, at the base area
Race Start: August 30, 2:00pm
Cost: $50 cash payment is preferred, at check-in/plate pick-up
Ages: 8-16

Details may be subject to change. We will email participants with any changes before the date. Last-minute registration may be available at the Registration & Information Station (at the Base) on the event days depending on numbers. 

Further details will be emailed after practice on Friday and categories have been assigned.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Helmets are mandatory, so don't forget your lid.
  • Participants must have a parent or guardian complete a release of liability upon their behalf at the time of plate pick-up.
  • Participants must be available for one (1) of the practice days to complete at least two (2) marked runs. Failure to do so will remove the participant from competition.
  • No exceptions will be made.
