48 Hours of Adventure

Located 45 minutes northeast of Kamloops, Sun Peaks is known for its vast terrain, impeccable grooming, barely-there lift lines and light powder in the winter months. As the community grows, Sun Peaks has quickly become a must-visit summer destination.

Sun Peaks offers adventure- enthusiasts bike trails on all three mountains, 16 alpine hiking trails with wildflowers and vista views, activities for the whole family and free outdoor concert weekends.

With summer coming up, get inspired for an adventure-packed 48 hours in Sun Peaks.

 

Day 1

Afternoon

Sun Peaks Bike Park

 

As you drive into Sun Peaks, let the three mountains inspire you for a weekend full of adventure. Arriving in time for Twilight Ticket from 4 pm to 7 pm, your weekend starts now. Head out to the Bike Park and discover 2,000 feet of lift-access vertical on Tod Mountain, or discover 1,559 feet of all-new lift-access terrain on Sundance Mountain. 

Want to work your way up to the Bike Park? Explore the Progression Park before heading up Sundance Express to two new beginner freeride trails.

Are you looking to ride all three mountains? Take in 12km of new, free-to-use pedal-access trails on Mt. Morrisey to complete your evening of riding.

Evening

Morrisey Patio

 

After a few hours of adventure on the bike trails, it's time to refuel at one of Sun Peaks' many outdoor patios. Take in the mountain views on the Bottoms Bar & Grill patio, cozy up at one of the outdoor fire pits on the Morrisey's Public House patio, or relax in one of the igloos at the Magic Cattleguard Diner.

On your way back to your accommodation, stroll through the village, and keep your eye out for live music performances at various restaurants.

Day 2

Morning

Mountain Yoga

 

Start your day recharging your muscles and connecting with nature during an outdoor yoga session surrounded by the stunning alpine beauty of Sun Peaks.

Follow your session with a cup of coffee and pastry from Vertical Cafe before heading out for your next adventure.

DISCOVER BC’S HIGHEST ELEVATION GOLF COURSE

Sun Peaks Resort Golf Course

 

Keep your day going and head out for a round of golf on BC’s highest elevation course. The 18-hole, Graham-Cooke-designed course will take you along the valley floor, surrounding you with stunning mountain views.

The mild mountain temperatures will keep you comfortable for a mid-day game.

Late Afternoon

Take a break from the sun and head to Cleavage Axe Co to try your hand at axe throwing. The perfect activity for those competitive members of your group, this experience is sure to be one you'll remember.

Take in a free event.

Outdoor Concert

This summer, Sun Peaks has a jam-packed event lineup. From summer markets, outdoor concert series, family weeks and more. Plan ahead to make sure you don't miss the annual Retro Concert Weekend  August 26th to 28th and Shred Kelly performance on September 2nd.

Day 3

Morning

Alpine Wildflowers

 

Grab your hiking boots and lace-up for one more adventure in the alpine before your trip ends. Choose one of 16 hiking trails to take in the mountain vistas, from low-grade sightseeing strolls to a breathtaking summit and a stop at Tod Lake.

Don't miss the Alpine Blossom Season. Wildflowers will be in full bloom between mid-July to mid-August.

Market Day

Before you head home, wander through the village and take in Market Day, browse products from local farmers, ranchers, and artisans. Sun Peaks Market Day takes place every Sunday and includes live entertainment and a games area for kids.
