"Nayte is a highly versatile slopestyle snowboarder who has been a valued member of the Sun Peaks Ambassador team since the program began, making this his third year. He has established himself as a strong role model in the community since moving to Sun Peaks, focusing on sharing the mountain experience with a wide audience.
Nayte thrives on the consistent availability of terrain at Sun Peaks, which allows him to ride whatever he wants, whenever he wants. He loves the resort’s variety, from great park features and groomers to glades and steep off-piste terrain. This versatility allows him to constantly push his skills in front of the camera.
This season, Nayte is continuing to take advantage of the program by collaborating with various filmmakers and producers. He is also taking his skills to the national level, competing in major events like Air Nation and Sr. Nationals. Nayte is excited to continue being a positive example of what a Sun Peaks Ambassador represents."

"Dario Douglas is a Secwépemc snowboarder, creator, and land based educator from St’uxwtéws (Bonaparte), British Columbia. For Dario, riding is first and foremost a way to connect with the mountain, using style and tricks to express the mountain’s story through his movements.
Through his social media, he shares land based teachings about plants and animals, using humor and culture to help people see each mountain in a new way. He is passionate about sharing the stoke of snowboarding with more young people, especially Indigenous youth who do not always see themselves represented on the mountain.
Dario supports environmental and cultural programs for youth through the Mother Earth Cultural Conservation Society (MECCS). He is also the co founder of SACRED, a modern streetwear brand that shares Secwépemc stories through art and design. As an Ambassador, Dario represents a new approach to riding rooted in gratitude and connection."

"Janna has been hooked on Sun Peaks ever since her first visit in 2001. The snow, the vibe, the whole place just felt like home. In 2016 she made it official, moving up full time with her husband and their two boys. Nine plus years later, she still cannot imagine living anywhere else.
She grew up riding and skiing the North Shore mountains, so being out on the hill every day still feels like the best kind of playground. You will spot her cruising the village or linking turns, always stopping to chat and spread the enthusiasm.
Janna is always giving back to this awesome place. She volunteers at events, sits on the Education Society board, and single handedly grew the Sun Peaks Freestyle Club from a handful of five kids to a thriving crew of more than thirty. She is thrilled to be an Ambassador, sharing the magic of this mountain and its tight knit community with everyone who visits."

"Meaghan describes her skiing style as dynamic, playful, and adaptable, enjoying a mix of technical skiing and plenty of fun across the mountain. Sun Peaks is where she teaches, lives, and plays all winter long. For the past four seasons, she has been an instructor here, sharing the passion for snow with guests from all over.
She loves the vast, diverse terrain and the positive village vibe that makes every day on the hill feel amazing. This season, Meaghan will be teaching full time, spending more time in the park, and mentoring new instructors. She also plans to check off every run on the mountain and sharpen her own performance skiing.
When not teaching, Meaghan is often capturing the fun and beauty that make Sun Peaks more than a resort. It is truly home. As both a creator and instructor, she loves showcasing the stunning terrain, cozy village, and the amazing lifestyle that fuels a true passion for the outdoors."

Age: 76 | Sport: Skiing | Current Town: Sun Peaks, BC | Facebook: facebook.com/ray.kehl
"Ray has been part of the Sun Peaks family for over thirteen years and has skied these three mountains for twenty seven. He is the guy who knows every run by heart, yet still gets excited hunting fresh corduroy, untouched powder, or perfect bumps. A former patroller, he is never too preoccupied with his line to stop and help a skier in need.
Off snow, Ray is just as alive: he paraglides around the world, hikes, rides, builds beautiful furniture, paints, and cooks incredible meals. He is a high flying, hard skiing, always smiling seasoned skier who brings a contagious love for the mountains and a genuine, inspiring energy everywhere he goes.
This season he is bringing all that experience and positive outlook to the Sun Peaks Ambassador team. If you see him carving by, feel free to say hello and share your Sun Peaks stories."

"Allan grew up riding everything, from boardercross to halfpipe. These days, he is the typical "weekend warrior," ready for whatever the mountain demands. You might find him hiking in Gil's on a powder day, laying fast carves on Sundance, or cruising the park when it is slushy. He often brings a camera along to capture the good times, a passion that started back in the late '90s.
Allan has been riding Sun Peaks since he was a kid. He loves the snow consistency and the endless variety the terrain offers, making sure there is something fun for everyone. For him, every day on the mountain is a gift and the "funnest thing in the world."
The mountain is steeped in personal history and friendships for Allan. A fun childhood highlight includes seeing the band Chumbawamba play live here during Much Music Snow Job '98. After all these years, his main goal is simple: to enjoy every single day out on the slopes with friends."

"Alysha is a familiar face you will spot on the mountain no matter the season. Some days she is carving perfect groomers, others she's deep in the powder or pushing her limits in the backcountry, with Mt. Tod firmly at the top of her hit list. Catch her linking Crystal to West Bowl into Gil’s, or chasing golden hour light with a camera always ready.
Since she and her fiancé landed in Kamloops in 2021, they have essentially lived on the mountain, skiing, riding, biking, hiking, and soaking up every bit of village energy. As a professional photographer and videographer, she constantly documents the big sends, quiet mornings, and post last chair moments using a wide array of professional gear.
This winter feels extra magical though. Alysha is getting married at the Sun Peaks Grand in March and has every intention of cruising down the slopes, wedding dress and all, for a few celebratory laps at her favorite mountain. She hopes to make Sun Peaks her permanent home one day."

Age: 37 | Sports: Snowboarding, Nordic Skiing, Skiing | Current Town: Sun Peaks, BC | Instagram: @craigrenwickcoach
"Craig has called Sun Peaks home since 2014 and has been snowboarding for 19 years. After riding resorts worldwide, he will still tell you this mountain is the one no contest!
He is an instructor, trainer, and evaluator with the Sun Peaks Sports School, coaching the team and mentoring Gap Year students. He knows every run, from perfect groomers to the secret powder pockets only locals hit.
Craig has coached the BC Provincial Snowboard Cross Team on the NorAm and Europa Cup circuits and helped develop past Sun Peaks Ambassadors. He currently serves on Canada Snowboard’s Technical Experts Committee, shaping the national coaching program.
After more than a decade living and working here, his passion for these slopes is as strong as ever. He just loves sharing his backyard and watching people discover why Sun Peaks feels like magic."

"A former Olympic ski racer, Elli's skiing style is fast, carving, and aggressive, a direct result of her elite athletic background. As a Sun Peaks local, she also thrives in the trees, bumps, and powder runs.
Sun Peaks is the community that supported her journey from local athlete to Olympian. This season, she is excited to be back on the world class terrain, exploring glades on Morrisey and the rhythm of the new West Bowl area, while also introducing her 18 month old son to the magic of the bunny slopes.
When not on skis, Elli is a professional structural engineer specializing in sustainable material design across North America. She holds a unique distinction as the first Canadian woman on the national team to attend a U.S. university on a full ride scholarship. After twelve years away, she returned to Sun Peaks, ready to connect with her community and enjoy all the sports BC has to offer year round."
